Yeah the icon is ugly. Gonna take some time to getting used to it. It reminds me of Sony's icons. Could always theme it back but I'll just wait until someone releases an icon pack or something.
You're a data hog and have been throttled.

^Lol. Luckily, I haven't been throttled yet. I tested a SkyRocket and an HTC Vivid inside an AT&T store and the speeds were around 5 Mbps. Maybe cause they use a microcell or something in stores but I can't say for sure. Personally, I've been getting 7 Mbps down and 1-3 Mbps up on my Nexus which is more than enough for my needs.

Looks like Google Wallet prepaid is back! Gonna flash me some AOKP tonight on my Nexus. Been itching to flash a new ROM but this was holding me back.

AOKP installed. Now I can hide the software keys on demand for the full 720p display on the Nexus. Love this ROM.

I normally don't use the Facebook app, only if I'm posting photos or checking in, I prefer viewing Facebook on the browser, in full desktop, NOT the "Mobile" format (like how I would see it on my PC), but starting yesterday, I can scroll down, anyone else have this problem?

Not sure if Sense disabled the command code but you can try it out. Be careful when messing with the other info. It can really mess up your SIM Card info.

^Not 100% sure but I think they're the same. Just a matter of different radio bands.

Yeah but might want to verify with XDA. I believe the difference is in the customizations of the ROMs and radios/modems.

If you mean unrooting it:

Its been a while since I had to do it, but flash a stock 2.3 image through Clockworkmod Recovery, then adb "fastboot oem lock" to lock the bootloader.

But if you just want to wipe it, hold volume up while powering the phone on. Select recovery, then wipe data.

Oh, in that case, now might be the perfect time to root it.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895545

Or, just ask him for his password

Wait forgot you have the Nexus S 4G. Let me see...

Try this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1167819

You'll need the Samsung Drivers installed to use it.

You could also try typing 'null' into the password box without the ' and see if it'll let you go through. It used to work back in the Eclair days.

i have it on my Galaxy Nexus and i'm sure other people in this thread have it too.

I've never really used previous Android, but everyone that has and has played with my Gnex has said it's much smoother.

Depends on which phone you're talking about. If its the Galaxy (S, SII) and Nexus (except the Nexus One) line then do it. The others are still missing a good chunk of drivers so they're not optimized yet but they do work just won't be the same experience as the real thing. ICS just feels very different from the other Android builds but in a good way.

I'm on the latest AOKP ROM on my Galaxy Nexus and I cannot get wifi hotspot to work correctly. I can get a computer or tablet to connect every once in a while but then it says there's no internet connection.

Any suggestions?

On a side note, ICS has killed everything I ever liked about my old iPhones! Glad I made the switch and going to pick up an android tablet at some point and give my wife my ipad.

Still prefer my iPhone for some things but also like my SGSII (work phone). I also have a Blackberry 9810 (secondary work phone, long story) and it is a utter POS compared to the other two phones.

okay, so I've been eyeing the Galaxy Nexus even though I just bought the HTC Sensation (used) about a month ago. While the Sensation was a good upgrade from the Nexus ONE... every time I look over someone's shoulder at their GN I'd be totally I like the fact that I can also use it with AT&T when I come home to visit (to SoCal). Here in Canada, I'm on a none-contract carrier, so I pretty much have to buy the phones outright. A new GN is $600+ 12% tax which comes out to be $672 There are people selling their "LNIB" for around $450-$500... The reason a lot of them are stating for selling is that they would like to trade or get an iPhone 4GS, I guess some people jumped on the GN at release from iPhones and didn't like it.

But, my question is... is there anything I should look for? Are there any problems with the GN's that perhaps I should know about? For example... when I got the HTC Sensation, there was a crashing/restart issue that was simply annoying... but I found out it was the stock launcher (that HTC "Sense"?) and a lot of people reported this issue. I was advised to download the free DXHome launcher and sure enough... the problem was fixed. So, I'm just wondering if there's anything I should be on the look out for.

Nothing sticks out as far as the GSM version. Some people say that the external speaker is a little soft but that can be fixed with Volume+ and/or custom ROMs. Also, rotation on the stock ROMs is slow but again, fixed with custom ROMs. Facebook Sync still doesn't work but thats up to Facebook to fix. In the mean time, you can use HaxSync or again, a custom ROM. lol. Been using mine on AT&T and no issues here. Finally stuck on AOKP and now just playing with Franco's nightly kernels.

Volume+: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=23326705

HaxSync: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...LmhheHN5bmMiXQ..

Did you say you already did a hard reset? That's really your only other option besides a full reflash via ODIN or fast boot.

Power off --> Volume Down + Power --> Clear Storage

You'll find everything you need to know at XDA:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1383464

Also watch YouTube vids to get a sense of how to do the instructions.
