I'll believe it when I see the starting QB in Week 1 of next season.

Favre is pulling the same retarded stunt again. And we've all seen this play out before...he just wants to skip training camp and blah blah blah blah...

As for the divisions with crappy records I don't mind it because division strength comes in trends. There have been years where the Rams, Seahawks, and Cardinals were Super Bowl teams or just very strong teams. What's the point of divisions anyways if the division winner can't make the playoffs? For that you might as well do it like how baseball you to 15 years ago and just have the top 6 records make the playoffs. But then you lose parody.
Absolutely. 2008 Cardinals made it as a wild card, won divisional series on the road, then came back and hosted the Eagles in the NFC championship. They brought their A-game to the SB and made the Steelers sweat until the end of the game.

the ravens snuck one by cinnci yesterday. i thought for sure they were going to blow it like they did 4 previous times this year.

so lets see, ravens are 12-4, and lost those 4 games in the 4th quarter with a lead. scary stuff...i love our defense, but they get gassed by the 4th quarter, and thats why we lost those 4 games.

we got the chiefs next sunday, which we'll win, and then steelers...should be a good defensive struggle as usual.

i never see you guys talking about baltimore, so i thought i'd post something up for my state.

What I was referring to was the lack of brackets, which I mistakenly used the term reseeding.

So I read on the crawl 2 massage therapists accused Favre of sexual harassment and they weren't invited back to the Jets facility after they rejected him?

Call me an idiot then.

Dikes will be 0-4 and Frazier will make a personal trek down to Favre's yeehaw farm and beg him to return to the Dikes...voila. He'll be back.

Or scenario 1: He'll flipflop all summer...to skip training camp...and be behind center come Week 1.

It's natural to have reservations. But to truly think he would come back after this season, and now the lawsuit...no chance. He'll try to disappear as much as possible for 2-3 years, and then start to re-emerge into TV. Or, the next time you see him will be his HOF enshrinement. Who knows. But he's done as an NFL player.

Zero chance - for several reasons...
1) We did what you have suggested for the 2010 season - obviously an absolute failure of a season, why bring him back for more? Everyone in the Vikings organization sees that he was not the key to our success.
2) Frazier will not take the primadonna cry-baby bullshit Childress was a known masochistic for. Frazier doesn't even like Favre. The circus has left town and Frazier aims to keep it that way.
3) The spotlight is now on Favre's personal life, not his professional life, which he doesn't like and can't afford to come back to face even more personal scrutiny.
4) Physically, he simply can't do it anymore...

I'm not saying I'm 100% positive he's not coming back - I'm just saying I'm 100% sure he's not coming back as a Viking. And frankly, who would take a chance at signing him at this point? There is simply NO chance.

pffty

once peyton heard atlanta was up by 30 in our 3rd quarter, we sent the practice squad in..
colston, ivorie, shockey, thomas, and others didnt even start at all.

they put up a hell of a fight while our starters were in, but if anybody thinks Brees cant put up 10 points in the 4th ju crazy mayne.

not worried at all heading into the playoffs with a loss... we lost 3 in a row last year and watched the magic still happen

Just read a tweet from a Herald writer that Miami talked to Cowher but we'd keep our crappy GM and def. coord. Mike Nolan. Cowher didn't seem to mind the GM but wanted to bring in his own coaches so that situation is temporarily at a halt. They've also reached out to Jim Harbaugh. Hopefully they sent JLo, who is part owner, to his hotel suite down here after the game.

Atlanta plays the lowest remaining seed. So in my scenario, Green Bay beats Philly.

I HOPE the Eagles win...but, logic says that they'll get crushed by the Whackers. I don't think Vick will do well against the 3-4 defense...and well, GB is up there in take-aways this year too.

Pointless to sign somebody.. We already have 3 more RBs that have been in normal rotation

Bush, Thomas, jones, can handle the carries.

Yep with a 1/100 of the stress. Look at Urban Meyer, coaching football takes a toll on one's physical and mental well-being. Cowher looks like he's having a blast joking with his colleagues on Sunday. Same reason I don't see Gruden leaving the broadcasting booth.

I think Cowher might have gone to Carolina last year but I don't think that's happening this year. I wonder if Luck and Harbaugh might be a package deal for the Panthers. I see Harbaugh staying local and going to SF.

Yeah, I think last season or something for a 3-4 week span the Saints had a different leading rusher for each week

RB by committee is the way to go these days IMO... at least until we see another totally complete back like LT or *ahem* Frank Gore, of course. With a bunch of good backs instead of just one really, really highly paid great RB, if one gets injured its no big deal. Also the Giants had Earth Wind & Fire in their SB winning season didn't they?

Deion Sanders mentioned Steve Mariucci would rather spend time with his family these days rather than coach (not being delusional that he could come back, just bringing it up) and I think Cowher might be in the same position. Isn't that why he left in the first place, to spend more time with his daughters or something?

I also don't really see Gruden leaving the booth either. If he does stay in broadcasting, I wouldn't blame him.

Even if Luck slipped to us (yeah right) the Niners' knuckleheaded ownership would probably pass on local talent like they have a knack for usually doing hopefully we get Harbaugh at least. Stick with Jimmy Clausen, Carolina! He's your QB of the future!

I think the Cowher girls are almost to the point of Being done with college and HS. Once they've made families of their own, it's not as important until you get grandkids. But Miami isn't getting one of the big names if they dump Sparano. Perhaps Mularkey or some other assistant.

It's pretty well known that Cowher wants to coach and didn't deny his preferred list which included NY (who's keeping Coughlin) and Miami. Miami won't get Mularkey because he already stunk here as an offensive coordinator. That shows how important talent is. He's a hot OC since Atlanta was excellent and was garbage with Miami. Matt Ryan is light years above Henne. Now Mularkey interviews with Denver for HC.

I'm surprised the Bengals are keeping Marvin Lewis. I heard their brutal schedule didn't help.

I thought Jason Garrett was staying in Dallas but I heard this morning they're bringing in more coaches.

It's said that Carolina would take Luck if he came out.

They have to bring in more coaches, mainly black one's to fill the interview quota.

So Fisher's staying. My buddy told me that Miami won't give it to Cowher because he wants full control. Why the fuck are we sticking with Ireland as GM. Supposedly our owner wants to offer Harbaugh $7-8mill per now. And we're supposedly making a play for Gruden.

LSU may be making a play for gruden as well.. Miles is reportedly talking to Michigan.

And we have the money to get him here if he wants to give college a go
