Anyone been watching the Buccaneers this year!? They're doing pretty damn good! Josh Freeman is a beast! The bucs have never had a great quarterback, they're usually switching quarterbacks every few months. They're currently giving the Saint's a good fight, I don't expect them to win but they might.

Holy Shit! They just went for it on 4th and 1 ran some crazy fake QB sneak then drop back and throw a 20yd touchdown! This is going to be awesome next year! They've become a pretty exiciting team to watch!

for some reason i though St. Louis was in.

and yes, we are traveling anywhere we go.. those matchups werent set to a home/visitor order.

and i still think its retarded that a team who is 11-5 is seeded below an 8-8 team and has to travel to them

so NFC is

Saints @ Rams/Seahawks

Packers @ Eagles

Ah well, Bears had absolutely nothing to play for and made the Wackers sweat all game.

Anyhow, hope the Eagles and the Cheese destroy each other next week.

...and @ Dikes losing to the Lions...

Personally, I hope he's back to the Dikes again next season so that he can deep-six their playoff hopes again.

No, I don't hope. I know he's coming back.

Can't believe a 7-9 team is in the playoffs and two 10-6 teams aren't.

and on top of that, they get to HOST next week to a 11-5 team ... the NFL needs to re-do the playoff's schematic

this.

on top of winning your division, you should at least be .500 or better.
if not, the remaining team with the best record should go.

Someone mentioned reseeding earlier in this thread. At this time the NFL does not do that and it was actually shot down last year.

As for the divisions with crappy records I don't mind it because division strength comes in trends. There have been years where the Rams, Seahawks, and Cardinals were Super Bowl teams or just very strong teams. What's the point of divisions anyways if the division winner can't make the playoffs? For that you might as well do it like how baseball you to 15 years ago and just have the top 6 records make the playoffs. But then you lose parody.

it just blows for teams like the Bucs who played in a tough division AND still won 10 games.

cant make everybody happy i suppose.

We all know the NFC West sucks, but an interesting point a commentator made is that it could be a good team in a very competitive division, i.e. AFC South, that finishes 8-8 and clinches the division based off of their record, like the Chargers did a few years ago or something. A team could easily go 7-9 and do the same.

Then you have teams like the Chiefs who were 2nd to last in their division, yet clinched a playoff berth.

It sucks, but it's simpler this way. If you want the 10-6 teams to be in the playoffs, it requires a bunch of loopholes and extra rules, like basing playoff berths off of strength of schedule, along with every other rule that's already out there.

Then, what if an entire conference stinks it up and none of them finish above 8-8? Are people going to start wanting to see playoff games taken away from the weak conference, opening up a possibility of a Super Bowl between AFC-AFC or NFC-NFC?

you could still send the same amount of NFC/AFC teams to the playoffs.. just wont be even distributed from the divisions.

if division A has nobody over .500, that means division B has multiple ones...

No, I don't hope. I know he's coming back.
There is absolutely ZERO chance he is coming back as a Viking. Zero.
...And for what it's worth, we have no playoff hopes for the foreseeable future. I believe they call it "re-building".

Holy crap, just realized that this season, Brady has thrown 36 TDs to only 4 INTs

of course, it's not like he doesn't have centuries in the pocket to throw the ball, but still.... that's crazy. a 9-to-1 ratio!
