Thank you Braylon and Shayne Graham. Just enough to clinch a bye by one point. :whew:
So are the Jets really 40 points worse than the Pats? I knew the Pats were red hot and I knew the Jets won some close games that they probably should've won by more. Let's see how they react against the perfect punching bag: My Fins!

All I have to say is I told u guys! Brady is a monster with such a young line up he stepped it up this year this team is going all the way! Belicheck knows what he is doing and that's all that is needed! Ohhh yeah Rex eat them words and probably regrets getting rid of woodhead! Ha!
Yep, wasn't exactly running up the score with Sanchez' 3 picks and a complete absence of Jets defense. Could have been 59-3 easy.

So much for being undefeated in Dec.

Does he not earn the win if he's taken out with 5 minutes left and up by 42? The win is his either way. Taking someone out with 5 minutes left and up a bunch isn't the same as sitting out game 15 or 16 when you've already earned a playoff spot. The game could have got out of hand and Brady could have taken a shot. There was no good reason to leave him out there IMO. Didn't have anything to do with running up the score.
Do you take out your best players in a hockey game when the score is out of reach? No, and there's a worse chance of those players getting hurt than a QB handing off the ball to a running back.
Something to think about...
What if the Jets and Pats are tied at the end of regular season? They have both won one game apiece this year head to head. The next tie break after that is point for the playoffs. Something to think about.

I disagree with unanimity

The next tie breaker is division record.
Points are number 9 on the list...
TO BREAK A TIE WITHIN A DIVISION
If, at the end of the regular season, two or more clubs in the same division finish with identical won-lost-tied percentages, the following steps will be taken until a champion is determined.
Two Clubs
Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games between the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.
Best combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed.
Best net points in common games.
Best net points in all games.
Best net touchdowns in all games.

all work and no play
just like any other qb, they ALWAYS want to be in there for the full 60 minutes.
As for running up the points, the in 07 Bill had something to prove, and held the throttle to the floor for the entire season. There was a lot of talk about running up the points then too. However, what would have been said if they came out in the 4th up 8765372 points, then took three knees and punted it for the rest of the game?
This team is VERY young, and has been having trouble finishing. Bill gathering the whole team on the sideline before the forth saying that we're playing this whole game is something that Ive never seen him do for any reason. Maybe this was just a lesson for them to never give up? They definitely have almost let a few teams take the win by pulling back and coasting when up by a large margin this year.
I do wish that the Jets actually showed up to play last night though, what a dud for the game proclaimed to be the "game of the year"

The U sure does bring out some punishing players *wishing the Skins still had Sean Taylor* but as for the Pats running up the score, when its grown men playing football I don't think anyone should be crying about running up the score. The point of beating your opponent is to take the life and the fight out of them, in any game. So if I am wooping someones ass, I would never let up in any given situation because I want to make sure the will to fight has been completely bashed out of them for the rest of the season.
Skins have been raped a couple times this season, and we all see how their playing now LOL

Yeah that was insane. Surprised they haven't put in a way to prevent that with the kind of weather possible up there.
EDIT: I think there were two people on the field...look at the far sideline at like :12 seconds

Anyhow, GO BEARS!
Let's see if they can put up a pass rush on Brady and not give him the 50 years he has in the pocket.
