Not sure how that's even graded.
The only consolation I have is that the Hawks padded enough points into January to still be 6th despite the 9 game tailspin.

I think a lot of that is because of his tendency to disappear vs Chara and the Bruins. And I generally think he doesn't give a damn about much and hide's his emotions really well. Other players may see that as being scared. I don't buy it.

What's with the hate-on for Leafs players though? First it was Dion being the most overrated...and now, it's Kessel.
Weird.

Because they have so many fans, Leafs tend to be overated. Every Leaf fan thinks we can trade a 3rd liner and a 2nd rounder for Sidney Crosby. I believe the technical term is Blue & White disease.

Lots of Nash to Kings rumors. Why would he want to go from one bad situation to another?

So Nash's hit is big$$$....about as much as Gagne + Penner.
Gagne's career is probably over.....Penner's too
So....let me think keep Pancakes & Gagne, or have Nash.

Ok. That was easy.

Toyota Center is the King's Practice Facitlity (located in El Segundo ,CA)
The yotes are there today because they are playing the Kings tomorrow.
The Kings don't practice on their home ice (Staples Center) because of it's location....downtown L.A. is a b*tch to get in and out of...traffic nightmare...and the fact that Staples is a multi-use venue with 2 basketball teams & a hockey team.....which typically means the ice is not available other than before game time.

Comment from a Kings fan on some nonsense rumor of Bernier to teh hawks for El Douche:
He can't score to save his life lately. He would fit in perfectly.

Domcha, just got my playoff and 2012-13 season invoice in a nicely constructed packet and was hoping to have some info on the classic. No dice, just a line that says,"...Red Wings Season Ticket Holders will have first priority on being a part of this landmark event."

Mail it to me. (but make sure there's $$ on there first) There's no Tim's in LA is there? Buffalo yes, but not that far south.
And where's my Leaf version.
The sizzle in the Steak
No Tim Horton's around here.
Closest one is a drive across the border from Washington State.
There is a gas station just off the 5 highway not far from the border crossing w/ a Tim's inside.
A few years back when I drove to Vancouver it was my first stop after crossing the border in the morning.

Boston, Los Angeles, the Rangers, San Jose, Toronto and Vancouver are believed to be on the approved list for Nash — he would have to waive a no-movement clause in his contract before he could be traded — but the return the Blue Jackets seek could vary widely from club to club.
The Blue Jackets are said to want at least one young roster player along with a combination of top prospects and quality draft picks. Using that criteria, the Rangers seem to make the most sense, and the New York Post reported on Tuesday that the two sides have had preliminary discussions.
The Rangers have a player the Blue Jackets have pursued for years in forward Brandon Dubinsky, but they’re also stocked with young defensemen — Michael Del Zotto, Ryan McDonagh and Tim Erixon, among others — and forward Chris Kreider, currently playing at Boston College.
The Blue Jackets play on Sunday at the Rangers.
Los Angeles could provide something the Rangers cannot — a top goaltending prospect. Jonathan Bernier, the No. 11 overall draft pick in 2005, has spent the past two seasons as the seldom-used backup to Jonathan Quick. However, the Kings don’t have young prospects to match the Rangers.
If the Blue Jackets don’t get an offer to their liking, it’s possible they will retain Nash and then try to move him in the offseason, perhaps at the draft. They might actually get a better offer in June, when teams aren’t as constricted by the salary cap or worried about messing up midseason team chemistry.

...This is part of playing in Detroit. This is a city of survivors. The unemployment rate is terrible and the housing market is a mess, but the people keep waking up every morning trying to make life a little better for themselves.
Maybe that has an effect on the team. Maybe that is why playing in Joe Louis Arena, named after the former heavyweight boxer and one of only three arenas without a corporate name, has been so magical a place for the Red Wings this season. As a player, how can you not be inspired by those who have endured so much in the last several years?
“We’re not like Toronto or Montreal, where it’s an automatic sellout,” Devellano said. “We have to work to sell tickets because of the economy. This sure as heck is helping.”

CANADIENS TRADE GILL TO PREDATORS FOR GEOFFRION, SLANEY
The Montreal Canadiens traded defenceman Hal Gill and a conditional 5th round pick in 2013 to the Nashville Predators on Friday in exchange for Blake Geoffrion, Robert Slaney and second round draft pick in 2012.
Gill, who has spent the last three seasons with Montreal, will be an unrestricted free agent after signing a one-year deal worth $2.25 million in the off-season.
The 36-year-old blueliner will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season.
Originally drafted in the eighth round by the Boston Bruins at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, Gill's size has made him a coveted stay-at-home presence throughout his 13-year career.
The 6'7" Gill has played with the Bruins, Maple Leafs, Penguins and Canadiens throughout his career, winning the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in 2009.
