Little Schenn is no Wayne Simmonds.
I bet Simmonds :chuckled: and shook his head.

What in the hell is NHL 36? I don't think we get that in Canada land.

Still, does not change his value to the Hawks or that he scored the GWG for the Cup in 2010. If Chicago got fair-value for him, I would not lose sleep if they traded him though.

NBCSports...aka...the old Versus..runs the show.
Basically take one player, follow them with a camera for 36 hours.
It's a one hour show BTW. I think you can find them on youtube.
Lidstrom = Class Act!

Owen Nolan Retires
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Owen Nolan, who hasn't played in the NHL since the 2009-10 season, announced his retirement Tuesday at the San Jose Sharks home rink.
Nolan, who lives in San Jose, played 18 seasons and scored 422 goals with 463 assists in 1,200 games. He played for the Quebec Nordiques and Colorado Avalanche, the Sharks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Phoenix Coyotes, Calgary Flames and, most recently, the Minnesota Wild.
He was with the Wild in 2009-10 and played in Zurich last year.
Nolan retires ranked 71st on the NHL's career goals list, 33rd in power-play goals and 100th in points.
The former Sharks captain, who turns 40 Sunday, was the first overall pick in the 1990 draft.

Michigan regents to discuss Winter Classic
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan Board of Regents has called a special meeting to discuss renting Michigan Stadium to the NHL for the Winter Classic.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday morning. If the regents give their OK as expected, that would likely be one of the last hurdles to bringing the NHL's annual showcase to one of the most iconic venues in college sports.
Buffalo, Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia have all hosted the Winter Classic, but the crowd for a game at Michigan Stadium would likely draw the league's largest crowd.
The Wolverines and rival Michigan State attracted a Guinness World Record 104,173 people for a hockey game on Dec. 11, 2010.

I would love to see another winter classic, especially at the big house which is my favorite stadium to see a college football stadium, but if it's the pink things and the queefs, no thanks

And how storied have the maple syrups been since 1967?
Senior Moderator
Doesn't matter how bad they've sucked. They draw a crowd everywhere they go, and people are what you need to fill the big house.
Now that Crosby and Ovie are done the NHL has to start learning how to market something/anything else.

And before you and dom crucify and or start up some shenanigans about how I'm smoking a bong or whatever, I will say that the Hawks' goalies have not stolen them any games either. But, the terrible GAA you see right now is not all on the goalies.
They are not the reason the PK and defensive plays are awful.
Campbell's loss is bigger than most would admit. He was not worth $7M a year...but, he was a very good #3/#4...

Kings have scored 3 or more goals ONLY 16 times this season.
Their record when doing so: 15-0-1
Considering the above...is Quick their MVP....you bet.

You guys are desperate. JMFJ will be brilliant for you guys with the sack of you have on the blue-line.
Besides....if Poo says it, it will happen!!!
On a serious note, I don't see the Kings moving JMFJ
However if anyone wants Stoll, Pancakes, Mitchell, Hunter, Fraser...be my guest. I'll take some gatorade and some pucks in return.

Well, to be honest, I would love JMFJ on the team. But, his asking price would be through the roof and Deano would be stupid to trade him.
Chicago needs a bonafide #3/#4 guy. Leddy is miscast right now at his career in that spot.
Anyhow, excuse me while I continue to panic.

In reality...other than some sort of huge blockbuster type game changing deal, I see the Kings perhaps putting these players on the table for the deadline (picks and minor league guys not included):
Bernier.....This will be the last season Quick & Bernier play together. He is dealt at the deadline or over the summer. You were the future, kid, but Quick is nothing short of brilliant, so he takes the crown. My gut tells me with more ice time you will be a decent #1 on another team.
Martinez: Good kid with a lot of upside. Why deal him? One word: Voynov.
Sorry Martinez, you are good, but Voynov is that much better, and Deano is not moving Voynov...even though he would bring more in return....it would have to be huge to move Voynov....so you are on the block.
Pancakes, Fraser, Hunter, Mitchell, Stoll: ...because some of you suck, some of you are meh, and some of you are in the last year of your contract, and you will not return to L.A....rentals anyone?

OH, PLEEEAAAAASE, POO!!!! PLEASE BE RIGHT ON ONE THING FOR ONCE...AND LET IT BE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is not an impossibility the Leafs end up grabbing Dustin Penner from the Kings.... The impression I got today is the Leafs are waiting to see if LA needs to make a salary dump in an effort to land a bigger fish, in which case Penner could be had for very little. While I am not a huge fan of Penner, he is a pending UFA and could be an excellent rental and bring size to Toronto without the Leafs giving up much.

Hoping a 6-0 loss to the Sabres provided the much needed wake up call to the Bruins that November is long gone and they need to actually keep winning games. They displayed some of the worst passing I have ever seen in a NHL game.

Well, Burke was always sore about losing Penner to the Oilers...so, maybe he truly does want Pancakes to be a Leaf.
Still, I would be shocked if any team is retarded enough to pick up that loafer.
