Wow, all that promise and buzz pre-season for the Kings and the fans have gotten to talking about a rebuild?

Dude, it's not that horrible is it? Your team's not bad looking on paper...mind you, I don't watch that many Kings games aside from the times up against Chicago.

Come now, you are a sports fan...you should know better:
On paper is one thing....reality is another.

There are many issues, but some of the big ones are:

The coaching system is driving the team into the ground.
D.S. has done nothing to change it (and quite frankly I don't blame him, you can't blow up the entire system half way through the season....he was not brought in for that.

Look at every forwards stats over the last few years and watch their goals & assist #'s plummet. These are excellent players, dying in a horrible system.

To think Simmonds will have more points than Richards...

If not for Quick, the Kings would be competing with the Blue Jackets.

Deano's build was from the back to the front: Goaltending and Defense...with offense the last thing.

He accomplished 2 out of 3, by way of draft, trade & coaching.....but being last in goals for is accomplishing nothing.

We have few, very few forwards that can finish. We have only one winger who can play well. Our 1st & 2nd line wingers would be 3rd & 4th liners on any other team.

The team Captain is a joke....he should have never been made captain....but I've been saying that for years. Nice kid, but not captain material whatsoever. No b@lls, no heart, no loyalty for his teammates.

I don't know how AEG can in their right minds keep Deano if the Kings miss the playoffs, or go one round and out.

Didn't see this coming at all. I mean, look at the Blues and their turnaround from just a coaching change.

Thought Sutter would've been able to help somewhat...Guess the problem is really deep-rooted. Sorry to see your team's promise go poof this season...well, in your mind. Still, I think the season is early. A good push and streak is all that is needed to turn it around.

Hell, lookit the Hawks...winless in what? 7 games?

No one is talking rebuild there and your team is arguably just as talented.

And I'm thinking the winless streak for the Hawks may extend because the hard part of their 9-game roadtrip begins now.

If they could not beat the Avs, Oilers, and Flames...the Sharks, Rangers, and Preds are all licking their chops.

...but you have a good system, and only need a few pieces to fill in what is lacking.

Moog, welcome to my world.

Sucks that TSN and Sportsnet are now trying to emulate Poo by posting 'Rumors" everyday on their Home pages. Whatever sells I guess.

Yeah, it's getting quite annoying how much time is spent on the stupid trade deadline every sportscast.

Is it that big of a deal in Canada? I mean, how many "big" trades that have happened in the past has ever led to a Cup for the teams involved? I think the number is zero.

It's often nauseating with the dozens of daily reports they have on this rumor and that rumor.

What do you mean welcome?

I've been here.

Kings have never won

Rebuild, dumpster dive, band-aid, retread,....wash, rinse, repeat cycle for 44 years.

Kaberle didn't do crap to help win the cup but it was a big deal trade and the Bruins did win the cup.

If there was ever any doubt about who the best player in the world is...

I was at the Isles/Kings game. Kings just cannot score. Absolutely brutal. They basically have one line of Williams-Kopitar-Brown and that's it.

Trade Bernier for some scoring, get rid of the dead weight, and rebuild. They aren't that good on paper. Top 3 F, good goalie and 2 good D men, that's about it.

So when you make Pancakes ride the pine, and let the kids come up (who have not played in the Kings horrible no offense coaching system) look what happens...they each score a goal, and the Kings on the whole score 4 goals in the game.

SHOCKING!!!!

'tis why I resist the urge to pour salt in Yummy Cakes hurt locker and am not gloating about the Wing's home winning streak. Lots of hockey before the cup gets lifted four months from now.

WTF is a Jacket. Does he play for one of those inconsequential US hockey teams that nobody gives a stuff about and have no business having a team in the first place?

Nash's cap hit is 7.8 per year. NY Rangers have 7 mill in cap space left and a GM that likes to take on big contracts.

Oh Poo.....Oh Poo....

Nash for Bernier, Penner, Hunter...and a pick.

Seriously, Poo?!?!?!?

You expect everyone to believe Nash gets traded for essentially Bernier and a pick??!?!?

You see, Poo, this is why everyone calls you Poo.

Wow.....Who's their goalie again?

You'd figure the greatest player and greatest leader of all time Jonathan Toes would be able to pull them out of that funk.

Yes, I'm sure trading the Caps for Vokoun will solve their issues.

The overall team defense is in a slump. Toews can't be on the ice for 60 minutes...although, I think he sure wishes he could.

And you can have Stalberg and his terrible turnovers back...

We're headed for 9 ourselves, not to mention the 8th year in a row out of the playoffs. That has to be some sort of record doesn't it?
