The N.H.L. is the only elite-level professional hockey league in the world that awards 2 points for regulation, overtime and shootout victories. An overtime or shootout loser gets 1 point. In the rest of the world, a regulation winner gets 3 points, an overtime or shootout winner 2, and an overtime or shootout loser 1. A regulation loser gets no points.
N.H.L. executives have repeatedly voted down proposals to go to a 3-2-1-0 system, and Toronto General Manager Brian Burke, a defender of the current system, has said making all games worth 3 points is “a poor idea.....”

As much as it pains me to say this, Hawks probably have the best chance of knocking off the Canucks before they gain a full head of steam. Besides I can't root for any team with Raffi Torres.

You guys obviously don't watch enough hockey. Yotes took us to 7 last year, winged wheel been playing like complete
at home since the break, AND we're without Z (leading scorer).We'll be lucky to make it out of the first round.

My kid and his team got to play at Staples Center about a week ago.....fantastic experience for the kids......
not to mention the coaches (myself included) pretty
to be skating on the Kings ice.

Sadly, nothing of Al Secord...I was just jaw-dropping since well, he was one of my fave Hawk players as a kid growing up.
And I did really consider buying a signed Stanley Cup puck from Toews at one of the sports stores near our hotel...but, ultimately...$210 for a puck. Yeah...no.
