Now comes the real test. You are technically never completely in trouble till you lose at home. Did the Avs break Tampa's belief in themself with that last game or do they finally pull one out at home? If the Avs win this one I think it is over in 4. If Tampa wins this one I think it goes to 5 or 6 games.
I have watched this team put up TDs all season. I did not expect them to do it against the Lightning at all. The domination they are showing is unreal.
Hope they can keep it up for at least one of the games in Tampa.

What a noob. I expected to lose this game. I have to say I didn't expect it to be 6 to 2. DK does not inspire any confidence with his play as of late. He was great in February, March, and April. Since then not been a fan and it is becoming a bit of a liability. There were not 5 solid scoring chances with the goals he let in. That isn't to say we played great defense by any means but you have to have a goalie that makes a few saves when you have some break downs. Hopefully, we got our bad game out of our system.
Damn had to weather that first period. DK came through huge after the last game. It was back to total domination in the OT again finally. That was a tense one though. Trying to catch my breath.
That was one hell of an OT, exciting back and forth. Avs were feeling it and possessing the puck the whole time, hit several posts and crossbars before Kadri's goal. Funny Cooper complaining about 6 people being on the ice when the 6th is clearly at the bench and part of a line change lol
MacKinnon made a really slow change and Kadri jumped on the ice probably based on him expecting MacKinnon to be coming hard. His play in this series has me questioning his worth to the team some what but that is what it is. That said no one was covering him so it wasn't like he was pulling a defender and he certainly was not involved in the play. There is no way they call that too many call in the Finals period yet alone in OT.

Wanted this as a separate post from that nonsense. Game 4 and Game 1 is really how I expected all games in this series to turn out. Very much back and forth hockey with tight scoring and OT. The other two games are big outliers on how I figured things would play out.
I really want to see them secure this at home. So much better for the players and the fans there so hopefully they can lock it up.
I took a half second look at getting a ticket and flying out to game 5. Cheapest ticket is almost $1400.

Coaches on the move...but, for my team, the Hawks have hired Luke Richardson to be their new HC.
Not really got much of a comment other than hoping he can help develop/mold the young roster as they are clearly rebuilding...Their farm system needs to be rebuilt too.
Not a great feeling after game 5. Don't feel good having to play on Tampa again now and game 7s are the worst. Don't want them to be the first team in 80 years to blow 3-1 lead in the cup finals. Would be a collapse of epic proportions. Go Avs. Win this.
Damn, that was nerve racking but I think it was the most dominant game by the Avs since game 2. Except for a few moments they controlled and dominated the entire third period.
What a fantastic birthday present though. Not something that is possible without the delayed covid schedule.
Great SCF series and great win by the Avs, the Bolts look like they just gave up in the third, but it was a fun and enjoyable series all around. The Avs were just unstoppable all year
Rumor is now from the parade broadcast this morning is that he didn't sleep with it but Landeskog knocked on his hotel room door first thing in the morning and delivered it to him in his birthday suit
Neither do I, it came from Rangers Garden of dreams & supposedly the 7 bucks is going to the charity, regardless I'm more likely to forget I have it than it will go up in value.
