Not entirely sure how I feel about this. I mean I am happier about this than paying Kuemper what he is expected to get after last year. Not sold on Georgiev overall. In the Avs defensive system though he doesn't have to be great all the time just make a few big saves once and a while.

George was hit or miss last year. Some games he was as good as Igor, some he was slightly better than a moist towelette. He was an unrestricted FA so conventional wisdom is he was walking and we got "something" I feel he is better than an unknown pick above 50 in the 2nd & 3rd rounds of the future.

I will miss him, he was overall reliable.

Wow...Hawks unload Debrincat, who is a legit, scorer...underrated defensively too...to the Sens. Sure, they get draft capital but not nearly enough, IMO.

Dach, is also traded. His return is not bad. But, what does that say about a former #3 overall pick?

If Mrazek was that bad on a good Leafs team, well, he's going to be exactly what Chicago wanted in tanking big-time next season...

I won't be surprised if Serious and Kane both waive their no-moves to get out of this and go to a contender. I would suspect there will be teams who would line up for Toews and Kane to be on their rosters to get them over that hump...still got gas left.

I'm not sure what was up with that rumor but I always felt like he would stay. I think we gave him too long but that was the only way to keep him. He's still very good but his play has suffered with the knee surgeries and I'm not sure recycling the same core is really what this team needs right now, but I would have hated seeing him in a different team's sweater

You replace Goodrow and Matt Kahchuck with Huberdeau and Kadri...it's not terrible. Though, I wish all the teams in that division the best of luck: The road through the Western Conference is going through Denver.

7 years though? I laughed at the Lucic deal, and it looks like he'll be their next captain. Kadri is obviously better than Lucic but 7 years is nuts

Yeah, agree. And this is more so magnified by the way Kadri plays -- physical. So, that type of game will eventually wear down quickly.

Not much you can do when negotiating with the more talented players...they all want term.
