Man that was a rough one last night, Igor stood on his head and we lose DeSmith in the 2nd OT and Domingue has to come in cold after sitting on his butt for 4 hours. Definitely was a wild one all around, longest game in MSG history!
As for the disallowed goal, KK made no attempt to not run into DeSmith, I thought the refs may point to Dumo being in there as well, but it was clear that KK not only made contact with DeSmith's head, but also pushed him out of the crease. If that was the other way I would have been fine with it being waved off given the way that KK went into the goalie full speed
I feel like he was being pushed and momentum was carrying him, I looked at the replay several times, his skates were totally askew and he had no control over his direction (it seemed to me)
The dispute was mandatory for the Pens, they had to do it and I agree it was a toss up. We lost the call and eventually after 2+ excruciating periods lost the game. I was shocked it took as long as it did honestly.
I think the Preds are done...cannon fodder for the Avs.
I love the spunk with the Canes...rooting for them to go far. But, for the most part, at all the series so far. Did Edmonton turn it round by scoring a TD on LA? We'll see...but, I think regardless of what happens, they're in a world of challenges if they run against Denver. I'd think the winner of the Wild/Blues would also give the Oil issues too.
Jarry out with broken foot thanks to A-hole on the Isles diving into him, now DeSmith is out with core muscle surgery. Pens won't survive this series with Louis Domingue as their starting goalie and he's all we have, ugh

Yeah, that is a shame that it was bad enough he had to have surgery. Super tough luck to lose top 2 goalies in a span of what like 10-14 days?

Man trying to break Ingram last night was crazy. I was fearful the last 10min of the 3rd and all of OT the Preds would get a lucky rush and pot one. We dominated that game but he was amazing in goal. Have to give it to the rookie. They might have something on there hands with him there. At the least pretty sure Rittich has lost the backup job of Sarros next year unless Ingram implodes at some point here. He has only let in 4 goals on a peppering of shots during 2 games now against the Avs offense.
I still have Edmonton in 6 but man, if this goes 7......
I mean this series and most of them right now are coin flips. It is like one team shows up one night and the other the next night. The only two series that seem to be hard fought games with a chance for either team at the beginning of the game is the Pens/Rangers and Stars/Flames. Otherwise it is one team blowout one night the other team the next.
It's the opposite for the Pens, the top line has been carrying them most of the series. We finally got some secondary scoring, but most of the young guys for the Pens have been invisible

I'm assuming Pens would advance...I did pick them to take the series in 6 as the Rangers are just a bit too green for me.
Though, I do look at both the squads here (and the Kings) with alot of envy...good retooling around the core vets...Hawks? Complete trainwreck. I mean, they did oust Edmonton a couple years ago but frankly, beating Edmonton is not an achievement.
Pens' powerhouse team is another good template but why I didn't compare this Avs team to them is I found the Pittsburgh roster alot more grittier...not as flashy.
Well, it's a win...but, the game changed when the Rangers basically took out Crosby. I'm not sure I like the hit...and well, you and I had debated it before as it involved, guess who, Trouba.
If the Pens have lost Sid and NY comes back, we know why they did.

Dude, it's hockey not crazy 8's. When you have the puck you are subject to being hit. I hope Sid is not hurt but they have been pummeling us all series. (Shesterkin has not been himself since the Carter hit) are we whining about those two horrific losses???
There was no call and we were penalized from the first second, only got our first PP in the 3rd.
