Hawks have been near automatic when closing out series.

- In Coach Q's tenure, Blackhawks are 42-14 in Games 4, 5, 6, and 7.
- Since 2010, this team is 13-4 in potential clinching games.
- Since 2009, the Hawks are 9-0 in Game 6s.

Let's hope the trend continues...

Very, very good game with lots of chances either way...hats off to the Bolts for bringing everything they had until Kane made it 2-0.

I think Tampa will be a regular contender for awhile if they can learn and add to this experience. And kudos to Bishop with playing through with a torn groin...


But, what can I say about Toews et al...as a Chicago sports fan, we are spoiled. Hawks will need to re-tool but maybe they'll be back soon. Keith with 700+ minutes...holy crap.

Game 4, well...it was kind of a goalie win...Hawks did not play great in Game 4, IMO but buried their chances.

In Game 5, they adjusted to the Bolts' forecheck...the D-men were dropping back deeper and the forwards were coming back farther...it made the Bolts think twice because if they committed, and the Hawks connected on a break-out pass, well, off they went on a 2-on-1...

The way I see it, Teuvo vs Valtteri was turning into a stalemate. When Teuvo and Kimmo came together it was like some sort of 2 megabot hockey Voltron shit that Tampa just couldn't handle.

Bench a Canadian add a Finn, win a cup.

Pardon me for not watching any of this series but I just realized that The Great Finn, Kimo Timonen only played 3 games and never played more than 5:46?

And they give him the cup 2nd......

He's a great guy that Jonathan Toews and a great captain and leader. He 's kind enough to make the FinLandians feel like they had something to do with the Cup and helped him win something other than a Bronze medal at the World's. Good for him.

Yet when a Canadian filled his spot the hawks dropped 2 games in a row. Increasing the Finn ratio was the key. Once he came into the line up the hawks never lost again.
