If the leaves do win tonight, can Domcha go down and recollect his jerseys that were "accidently" thrown on the ice?

Would they be in the lost and found?

Fleury with his 6th shutout of the season last night, and it's not even the halfway point of the season

Cuz, lord knows, Scott Darling and Antti Raanta would be ECHL goalies if they played for the Deadmonton Oilers. But, on the Hawks, they have jaw-dropping GAA and save percentages.

Gee...I wonder.

Yes, goalies mean nothing. If Patrick Roy in his prime was on these Oilers they would be just as bad.

Why even watch or talk about the Pens in the regular season? Their season starts in May. Until then its all pretty much an exhibition.

And we all know Fleruy had NOTHING to do with the Pens playoff collapses the last few years. It was all on Team D. Those Beach Balls going through his legs was the D I tell you!!! The D!!!! Why did the Pens ever let the other team have the puck????

Even though the Leaves allow 45 shots a night and allow plenty of great scoring chances their record is was it is because of Team D!!!! Those goalies standing on their heads mean nothing!!!! 45 shots a night is nothing!!!!

It goes both ways Yumchah. You can post examples of teams with great team D that can win and I can post examples of teams with goalies that have to stand on their head to get them where they are. There's no one way to do it.
I hope you at least understand that.

Now where's Moog to slap you around a bit. I asked for that for Christmas.

Chill dude...if I'm snarking LIKE THAT, I'm probably horsing around. EVERYONE knows that a goalie can't let in a weaksauce goal in a tight game to sink the team. Duh.

That being said, our stupid argument from a couple years ago when you both told me that Vokoun would be the answer for Chicago was for a scenario where well, I felt if the Blackhawks shored up their defensive play, was not needed. They are built from the blueline and out and not from net.

Then, it just went plutonium on me and became so stupid to the point that Jennings Trophy winners became some standard of excellence. Again, I'm not against a great goalie...duh...if they can steal games awesome.

Take for example, the Oilers...they NEED a Patrick Roy or Dominator to steal them games EVERY night. But, those don't grow on trees...much easier to find players that compliment a good, sound structure and have a more average goalie instead.

That's all.

Now, don't be all bitter cuz your Leaves blew their win streak to the Canes, okay? Gosh.

I'll give the oilers a subban of the give us a winger who projects to score more than 13 goals a season.

Then we'll give him away in 3 years because he doesn't like playing defense.

Blackack getting shout outs from hockey reporters right in the middle of articles.

Adam Larsson said the mumps were the low point in his 22-year-old life.

“It came right away for me. My face started growing and the fever came at night. Those four days were probably the worst days in my life so far. It was really bad at one point. I couldn’t eat or anything. I’m glad to be back. I just have to work my energy level up a little bit to where I can play.”

Ack, that sounds horrible.

Well, the Leaves record against sub-500 teams is awful...but, good news is, they play Chicago tonight and they did beat the Hawks the last time they met.

All you need is to post and you're guaranteed a victory for the Syrups!

Well, that was entertaining. Not so much for dom maybe...but, that sure was entertaining.

Toews made Gardiner look like a pylon and then shoving him aside to score was probably the best goal of the game.

So, who blows a 5-2 lead? The Oilers.

I'll for months if this blatant losing on purpose to get McDavid or Eichel fails and the new lottery policy blows up in Edmonton's face and they draft #3 overall.

You can also blame the Oilers for drafting Hall over Seguin. Then again, it wasn't as dumb as Boston trading Seguin. Now THAT was dumb. Like Leaves since 67 dumb.

Yup, idiot-pick by the Oilers...Hall is a good player...but, if you have two great prospects, TAKE THE CENTER.

In defense of the Oil, most had Hall rated above Seguin at that time. But what was Boston's excuse? He partied too hard? Get tough on him dummies. And now, they'll suck for years. Like the Oliers.
