What does a coach in Toronto get for missing the playoffs, driving the team off a cliff and allowing 65 shots on goal per game?

A 2 year contract extension, what else. It was the assistant coaches fault of course.

I really don't have a problem with bringing back Randy. I can't put all the blame on him. But he had a year left on his deal, why the need for an extension????

...because Shannanananaban wants the team to continue to lose so he can get more picks over the next couple of years.

Strategy, dom. Strategy.

Don't question the mighty Tim Lie-Weekly, or the great Oracle Shanannanaban.

Leafs will win The Cup next year, and become back to back champs!

Given the coaches out there...based on fit, I think Carlyle was probably as good as any. Although, I think Trotz will be a good one for any franchise.

Typical Time Lie-Weekly: Complain about "Leafs culture", but then stays the course with the coach.

You know, when he was on TSN, he wasn't that bad to be honest. He had some good insight...which is why, when he became such a clown in NY, it was a bit of a surprise to me.

of a game between Ducks and Kings.

This whole series between Ducks and Kings has ZERO playoff feel to the games.
Nowhere near as intense of play as Kings V Sharks.

Still waiting for the Kings to show up and play their game in this series.
Seems like they are sleep walking through this one.

Maybe game 4 they will turn it on.

Rags may be without St. Louis tonight or St. Louis could come out tonight with more passion than Pitt can handle. His Mom passed away...

I'll just leave this here...

The cross-check that Marc Staal delivered on Sidney Crosby was well beyond just a minor infraction (Video link) and worthy of at least a five-minute major and game misconduct. This aggressive cross-check delivered to the head area could not be considered an effort by a defensive player to contain, engage in a battle in battle or to clear an opponent from the front of the net. The blow did not start at the name plate on the back of the jersey and then rode up to the neck and back of the helmet. This forceful, full-arm extension cross-check went directly to the back of the neck/head of Crosby and should be considered an attempt to injure and worthy of a match penalty under rule 59.4.

he's crosschecked him straight in the head and back of the neck multiple times, not to mention the slash on the side of his head/neck as well when he went down around the net. But he's been doing it since game 1

You're right, those 2 mentioned were in game 3, I couldn't embed the slash on the side of his head.

Game 4 was more of a leaping elbow/forearm, not a crosscheck

I'd never say that. I'm more of a, "Meh, he had it coming to him" person.

Better angle of the slash to the head in this one, cuz you know, you should overhand swing your stick like that

Yeah but all of Canada's good players are in the playoffs. It's not surprising they lost to France when they have scrubs in key positions like goaltender
