What I mean is, weren't these players immunized from mumps or is this some weird strain going around?

All players who went to Sochi were immunized last year, Crosby was immunized 2 weeks before his face swelled up. Like the flu shot, I think the boosters do more harm than good

I believe it's optional. Most Americans have been vaccinated, it's the filthy disease infested Canadians who are spreading it around.

Hmmm...okay. Cuz, my son had to be immunized and one of the shots he got was for mumps. So, it's weird to see it go around the League like this...would've thought most players had their shots.

But the pengoons still win the prize as ultra douches after Beau Bennett started handing out mumps infested blankets at a children's hospital.

No reported cases of anyone being infected from being in contact with Bennett, not even his roommate

Penguins without 11 of their regulars at this point in the season, so far they have skated 9 players who started in the AHL this season

Injury is part of the game. That is why depth & resilience is important.

Show me another team in the NHL missing 11 of their starting roster

But yes, it is nice to see the depth, especially at defenseman. Nice to see the young prospects get a look, especially since they're traidbait.

Anyone see the John Scott Tim Jackman incident? Scott has a phone hearing, I still can't tell if Jackman is faking it. I haven't been able to find video that shows what happens in the minutes after Jackman drops to the ice like a dead man.

John Scott knocks out Tim Jackman with punch - YouTube
was at the game. wasn't fake I can tell you that. he knocked Jackman out cold, he blacked out as he hit the ice.

and for that he only got 4 games. pretty sure scott is a repeat offender.

San Jose Sharks' John Scott suspended four games for punching unsuspecting opponent and causing injury - Department of Player Safety News

Scott left the bench the last time he played Anaheim and targeted Jackman then too. the guy is a goon on a mission.

I know Scott's a strong guy but I'm still surprised the turnaround hammer fist had that type of knock out power.

The ducks are a bunch of pussies or not responding if he truly was knocked out. Someone shoulda whipped out their lightsaber and cut his fucking legs off

Anaheim will never hear the end of that argument.

at one time before, the Ducks were labeled as goons. now under BB they are told not to retaliate. BB doesn't believe in the "enforcer" role as much as Carlyle did, so that may be the cause for that change.

personally I was waiting for Thompson to answer the bell. then again, we didn't have anyone in the lineup who would match up with scott size-wise. the lineup is already a rotating group of people in and out of IR. its amazing that we're still in 1st considering all those injuries. there is no need at the moment to risk another player to injury.

Have the Pens caught up to the Jackets in terms of games lost to injury?

Still, they were 5-0-3 (or something like that) in their last pile of games despite the injury ward piling up...so, impressive depth. And if anything, allows them to see how good their prospects are.

Then...there are the Oilers...who have no major injuries to report and still can't buy a win even if their lives counted on it.

So since Toronto, Chicago, NY, and Shitsburgh are absent, Boston and Finland shall keep Hockey talk alive

So DeBoer got fired, shoulda been Lameriello getting fired too

But we have Mr. Short blade and Senor Season ending injury taking over that that will be interesting.

Also, being a real hockey fan I tuned into last nights "game" between the Peoples Republik of Kanuckistan and the Junior Chara's so I could get a look at "generational talent" and "the next Sidney Crosby" Connor McCheesesteak. What do I end up seeing? That former NHL thug, ol' cement head, Tie Domi's son is a fucking stud. Best player on Canada's roster last night.

Not that Canada was having much trouble with te Slovaks but they were most dominant with Domi out there.

This is kinda a must win Finlandia. USA and Russia have looked good so far as well.
