Wait, I just realized Finlandia lost to the Slovaks???

Eichel vs the Future Edmonton Olier should be a good match up.

So, do you guys think the reason Edmonton am the perma-suck is because they have no Finlandians on their roster?

The Leaves have 1 Finlandian. But since he's not a true Finlandian (born in Russia) The Leaves are well...the Leaves

My no-name goalies are better than your Leaves' no-name goalies.

In "modern history". The bruins had a player "banned for life" in 1927.

Finlandia lost.......again

Time for a Finlandian Hockey Summit. Black Label, invite Jari Kurri. He can fix what's wrong with that program.

Dafuq is that slacker, anyhow?

Seriously. You really think he's on the defense team for Slapya Faceoff or something.

At least come in and say hi and how my goalies suck or something. Geez.

It looks like the Penguins are finally starting to get some bodies back.

Injured/sick players took part in Tuesday’s afternoon practice at Southpointe.

Forward Craig Adams (undisclosed), defenseman Christian Ehrhoff (lower body) and goaltender Thomas Greiss (mumps) all skated with the team for the first time since being sidelined, while winger Beau Bennett (lower body) and blueliner Paul Martin (undisclosed) continue to practice with the team.

Penguins head coach Mike Johnston said that Ehrhoff, Bennett and Adams are closest to returning and could be in the lineup for the Pens’ New Year’s Eve game against Carolina at CONSOL Energy Center.

“If you look at the guys who were out there today, Ehrhoff is really close, Beau Bennett is close and so is Adams,” Johnston said. “Those are the three guys that could play (Wednesday) night.”
5 players may return?

Since we're down like a dozen, I'll take what I can get, that would be nice to start getting some starters back

Better now than during playoffs to lose players to the sick ward.

As Toews said just now, Hawks were trying to be too cute there...should've kept it simple.

Hope that does not come back and bite them.

Yup. As is often the case if a team misses a giant opportunity like that to go ahead. Ah well. Good game overall...entertaining.

Great pick-up by the Pens in nabbing the #failboat Oilers' Perron: Oilers ship LW Perron to Penguins for 2015 first-round pick, C Klinkhammer - Article - TSN

I mean, the Pens are going to likely pick near the bottom of the 1st round anyhow. So, to get a proven player like Perron on wing is a great trade. And he also has some sandpaper to his game.

Now, let's all make bets on just how badly the Oilers are going to piss away this pick since well, it's not a default #1 overall pick where it doesn't take scouting and skill to select (even though, arguably, Yakupov is a bust of a pick). So, wanna bet this 1st rounder from Pittsburgh is going to be a waste-of-a-pick for Edmonton?

I'm still banking on Edmonton ruining Eichel or McDavid once those two are in Oilers uniforms anyhow.

Edmonton could not develop a player if their life counted on it. They'd probably ruin Toews, Ovie, or Sid if those types of players were in Edmonton's system.
