2 weeks I'm going to the Hawks Pens Rivalry Wednesday... Yummy, since when are the Hawks and Pens that big of rivals?

We are. Hawks are still bitter about losing the Final in four games in 92.

Officiating wasn't great. After 2 high stick penalties against the B's kevan miller get a blood inducing high stick to the nose no call, Marchand gets his stick slashed into pieces no call.

The gwg was inconclusive at best on the replays but the initial call was goal so with out proof of a high stick it counted.

Are you sure Miller got high sticked? From where we were sitting, it looked like the puck caught him in the face

Yep, that's exactly what I said when it happened, they called goal on the ice, there wasn't enough to overturn it

Heard about it, my response was that he pulled a BBQ Sauce Boudreau on his team. Would love to see a vid

Well, I'm just glad there was not stupidity between the Bruins/Pens and no one got their head kneed and etc.

Generally speaking, the bad hits have been better so far this year? Or am I just desensitized?

Definitely better, no kneeing in the head without James Kneel

There was a borderline hit by Bortuzzo on Lucic, and a boarding on Letang by Marchand, but the refs no called both of them.

100%, the replay was conclusive on that one, he got hit with the follow through on the shot, ref was less than 15 feet away facing them as it happened, no call. I'm guessing his eyes were focused on the puck on the ice and missed the follow through of the stick to the face.

Being that the bruins are under the understanding that this is a no contact league, no, no bad hits.

Last night was a rarity in the fact that they did seem somewhat committed to finishing their checks but it's still not the team or style Boston fans want to see.

Stayed up until end of 2nd, was 4-2 Rangers who went down 2-0 & got the next 4 goals. Woke up to 4-3 win!!!!

WOOT!

They are 4 out of first with 2 games in hand on everyone.

Things are good, but can change in a second. I remain cautiously optimistic.

Yes, you should. Cuz, like Moog, Deano is never wrong...there is not a hockey decision ever made by Deano that is ever wrong.

Losing to Edmonton is like losing to a varsity squad shooting the puck the wrong way.

Oh puh-leeze. I'm stronger than all of those aforementioned weak sisters combined and scoff at the notion that yummy cakes can "scare me off".

Just unplugged on a well deserved extended vaca and knocked a few more places off the bucket list. In my travels I happened upon Yummy's second favorite beer behind Asahi (the one in the middle) and explains his aptitude for Azine slorage...

Great game on Saturday night, definitely a tight checking game, and had a total playoff feel. Sid's sick GWG in OT was the icing on the cake though

^^ Damn, I'm getting old - have never heard of that usage before.

Let me summarize Japan for all of you who haven't been: Lots of twigchas, hondas, finely pruned ornamental trees and manga. Plenty of good food, beer and whisky. Oh and very orderly. Very little hockey though.

Like "illach" won't give him a pay raise and he wants to go the circus in Toronto with a bunch of overpaid prima donna's who don't want to play his two way game. He'll go year to year like Bowman and doesn't need the money, he just wants to win.

You still owe me ten bucks and keep shirking double or nothing for our ultra-alfie bet So here's your chance to be a stand up guy and put your money where your mouth is.
