All I can say is: Thank goodness he's gone from the Central. He has a face that just begs to be punched.

Opposing fans hate him but apparently, he's awesome if he's on your team.

They weren't giving them out when I got there, ended up picking one up anyway, should put it on ebay as a "limited release"

Goc sucked, I couldn't stand Lapierre when he played for the Habs, but if he's on my team, I'll love the guy

Well, FWIW...annoying as fark versus a cheap@$$ low-life scum (i.e. Cooke, Rinaldo, Torres, and etc.) is very different.

I don't mind annoying-as-fark players because, well, teams need that sandpaper to draw penalties and take the focus away from the other team. Heck, I'm sure many think that way of Andrew Shaw on the Hawks.

But, attempts to end careers is another story.

Who is the official enforcer-type guy on the Pens these days? I'm assuming Rinaldo is going to face the music when he returns and Philly plays the Pens again?

Yes, but he was scratched a lot toward the end of the year and the playoffs, and didn't really fight that much toward the end

Ah, got it. Well, it's not like the Pens are playing the Flyers and Bruins every night.

I was listening to the NHL radio and it does appear the Pens are cursed regularly with the injury bug...they are just wondering out loud if it has something to do with their training/care program for the athletes?

Just speculation.

So they postponed the beanpot because of the weather. I'm curious if it gets some national attention because of Eichel.

Catching the Oilers and Sabres is no small feat. The Leaves will really need to make a push come the trade dead-line and take on more good players.

Have they contacted Edmonton for trades?

Why would they need to make any changes or trades? Their lineup is perfect as is.

More perfect than Edmonton's? You sure about that? I'd say trade Santorelli for Hall. Straight up.

Very sure. If I wanted a team to take me to the top of the standings and win the coveted Connor McDavid trophy it would be the Make BeLeaves.

I only wish they didn't play below their potential to start the season. They're too far behind now.

Well, if you believe in conspiracy theories...to have a generational player in Leaf-land may be in the cards if Toronto continues its mid-winter swoon.

I would be surprised if Edmonton picks 1 or 2 even if they finish in the Top 3 for worst record...I'd say Buffalo and Arizona/Carolina are locks to get McDavid/Eichel. But, if the Leaves are within distance, they may "magically" jump to #1...

NHL.com's standings list them as a 2 game McWin steak, not 9

There was a SO loss in there, that skews the stats.

They've scored 2 goals in the last 14 periods.

They were #1 in goals scored about a month and half ago. They are now 14th.

And see, I was cheering the Pats and they still one. I'm not a toxic as I look.

I'm surprised either team could win, I looked over the rosters and there wasn't a single Finlandian. Despite the vowel consonant vowel consanant nature of Hoomanawanui and how much fun it is to say his name, he's Hawaiian not Finlandian.

Someone apparently doesn't know the difference between a win and a McWin
