A study last year found that dogs really are smarter than cats. Researchers tested the ability of the animals to get unreachable food from under a plastic screen. In one scenario, one string was used with a treat attached. In another, two parallel strings were used with just one baited. And in the third setting, two strings were crossed, with food attached to only one.

The psychologist determined there was nothing to indicate that the animals understood the purpose of the strings. All cats were successful with the single string test, however, none of them consistently selected the needed string in the second setting -- unlike dogs.
I'm waiting for a big back yard for my next pet, a big pit bull. They are great dogs, if properly trained.

What a crappy drive. It looked as thought traffic on any road in Portland proper was a nightmare. Traffic seems to be getting worse, at all hours. Does this mean our economy is recovering, or more people live here?

Means more people are laid off and on the road driving like douche's...

I cannot understand how a little rain causes people to be 'tards. You have two types of rainy portland drivers, over cautious and overly aggressive. You put those two together on the road and bam you get accidents.

If well drove like we do on dry days we'd all be better off...

Sometimes I wonder if the T.V. weather guy makes it worse by blathering on about the rain. I've seen people on HWY26 doing 40mph with dried up pavement beneath their tires. But then again, I've seen a lot of idiots doing worse things in the middle of summer at 12noon.

What I've noticed is a lot of cases of people driving like dumbasses just so they ultimately pass ONE person on the highway.

Like when I get off work I tend to drive like a granny, since my car is still warming up (I get off work at midnight, there's very few people on the road, so I'm not too much of a nuisance) and I once got passed by some idiot in a black Civic that didn't have his lights on.

Mother fucker scanner/printer piece of $10,000 shitarfwaeitweatwarf!
Why do we buy the most expensive complicated equipment???? Swear to god my buddy at a local IT sales place got a call from someone here who wanted a "X" spec machine for their department. He didn't want to look it up so he pulled a $5,000 price out of his ass, and the guy turned around and said, "O.K, here's the P.O.#" If I was in the private sector my boss would have fired me long ago for spending all this time on AZ.

Got my center caps today. (used '99 CL) They finished out the look and brought a little A-Spec chrome with 'um!
Oh ya, $30 shipped vs $152 dealer.

I struggled a lot with that one because the top of the fender arch is sooo far away from that tire. After lots of deliberation I decided that the RDX is so tall to begin with that I would never be satisfied. If I give up a couple inches of ground clearance I'm still almost 10" taller than the TL. So I'll keep that 6" ground clearance and plow over the snow a little better.

It's a casual misspelling of hot. Meaning looks good, nice or awesome. Even radical if we were celebrating the 80's

^GT5??? There was a GT4 already??? Man I've been to blinded by work lately. They are hiring another manager...now there will be just as many managers as employees. I will have 2 coordinators, 1 co-coordinator, 1 technical manager, 1 dept. manager, & 1 supervisor. Note to economy: Hurry up and recover! Oh, and the new guy showed up in a black dress shirt and slacks yesterday. C'mon it's casual everyday here. WTF? I need a real job.

^ right back at ya! We were such well behaved tricksters last night that we said screw the party and stayed home and watched a good slasher flick instead. No cold beer or wine in the fridge either. But there may be some festivities for adults in between the tiny doorbell ringers.

Ha right on the money! Reminds me of South Park: "It's always a choice between a Douchebag and an Asshole" As a Communications major I noticed that this year the airwaves were filled entirely by negative adds. I didn't see one add in which the candidate didn't slam their opponent. I voted no on everything and chose the Asshole for Governor. So I'm sure it will come back to bite me in the Ass.
This is my least favorite time of year. The two seasons of Oregon, Rain and Road construction.

No that is one tool that I would love to have. I think it never makes it on the Christmas list and I'm too cheap to buy one for myself.
Looks like the house refinance is a go for next week AWESOME news as we will have $400 extra per month and no payments until January!

FREE****Anyhow (now that we have the money) I need to get the Mich PS2 off the car(TL) and put some all season rubber on instead, if anyone wants them let me know as they are prime for autocross right now and I will never get to drive one with that car. If you want them I would save $10 in tire disposal fees and you get a set of Michelin's finest at that perfect 3 or 4/32nd depth. They are 245/40/ZR19.

^just bring the caliper and come over and measure it. Today after 5:30, Wednesday after 2:30. Might be a good time to drive it with the all-season tires on it. Now that I'm hell bent on getting dedicated winter tires I regret my choice. I've always had really sticky rubber on my rides, but this year something changed and this weird practical voice went off in my head. I bought the A/Season tires whoose life span is longer than 25K.

^ Correction. The choice is between a douche and a turd. I watched the episode last night. "Douche and Turd", Episode 808. Original Air Date: Oct 27, 2004.

I seem to remember a Popular Mechanics issue that had an I-phone vs Droid comp but I couldn't find it. Here's a Droid article from PM:
