Does anybody happen to know any reputable and fairly priced shops that do fender rolling near Portland, or any other nearby places. I'm in Oregon City btw.

Looking to have my rears done.

^^ I think speed concept does it... When Min stumbles back through here he's had it done on his sx.

For smart phones the Evo 4G looks awesome! I've been pretty disappointed with my iPhone lately...

I've been contemplating the HTC Evo also. A few co-workers have it and like it. Gotta love that Android OS being open source. There are so many apps available!

The only shame to it is Sprint! meh.

Perhaps it can be unlocked and ran on at least AT&T? If it could I'd be down for it, well that is if I leave my company now (tee hee they pay for my iPhone service here, luck me!)

Sprint isn't so bad. I've been using Sprint (company paid cell and service) for the past 10 years. It's actually gotten better. I read somewhere that Sprint users use Verizon towers when roaming.

My Sprint phones haven't used SIM cards. I currently have a Treo Pro - no SIM.

I like that Android OS phones are a good alternative to iPhones, which EVERYBODY has. For some reason, I've never been an Apple fanboy.

so i guess sprint and verizon phones can work with each other and att and tmobile can work together.. i wasnt sure if sprint used the sim cards or not good to know.. i had att along time ago and t mobile now i have verizon.. i didnt care for att pricing for plans.. tmobile was really cheap phone wise and plan wise plus i always had dropped calls, now that i have verizon i havent had 1 drop call i get service in the areas i go camping and my phone can take a beating so im uber satisfied with them

I'm stuck with and old BB Tour. Had two BB Storms before, but broke them both. Carrie still has the original, first shipped Canadian made Storm and it is working perfectly. I want the BB Torch because it looks like the perfect mix between the Storm and Tour. But I'm not about to switch to AT&T.

Sprint and Verizon use CDMA which is a completely different cell technology and set of frequencies. Also, none of their phones use SIM cards.

AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM.

^My Verizon BB has one (sim card) and I never understood why. Every time I do a battery pull it asks me whether I want to use it. Ridiculous!

Blackberry Tours, 8830's and a few other phones are labeled as 'World Phones' which have a SIM slot, so you can take your phone to another country and still use it. I had an 8830 that let me use it in virtually every place I traveled, yet let me stick with Sprint back home.

I too have had sprint for about 10 years. When i first signed up i had pretty much the everything plan; (lots of mins, unlimited text, web, picturemail, free after 7, etc..) and with my 25% discount because of where i worked my bill ended up being like 65-70 dollars including insurance and taxes.

few years ago i took off my picturemail , web, and free after 7 because i couldn't justify extra 20 bucks a month for something that i used probably only 3 times a day(always at work); that and i also signed up a family plan with the gf so then was only left with 2000 mins and unlimited text.

now with my mom added to the line with 2000 shared mins, free to call each other, unlimited text on 2 phones, and insurance for all 3 phones i'm paying about 110-115 a month. can't beat that. we never go over mins because i rarely use my phone during the day and if i did it would be to call my wife or my mom and also if i need apps i just play with my itouch

Anyone catch the moon this morning? Very pretty with a tiny sliver of a crescent hanging over the NW hills inbound on HWY26! I'm going to miss the clear skies.
BTW anyone know why the Sheriff was tracking with K-9 in my neighborhood this morning at 2:30am? Thought it might have been the car jack meth-head that was on the news but that was at 8PM last night.
Seeing his face makes me want to buy him dinner and rehab.

I noticed the moon crescent yesterday morning as I drove into SW PDX. Didn't notice it today though.

No idea about the sheriff. Whereabouts are you?

Ever try to put one of those on the top of your car? I have, let's just say they are a bitch to hold onto at any speed above 15mph. Now you need an RDX.

^ hahah i have my truck i can put it in.. might need to bring a couple rocks to keep it from flying out though..

funny thought my wife asked me the other day if stuff can go on top of the RDX if we have a luggage rack.. at first i thought she ment the tsx and i almost flipped a lid!! nothing goes on the roof of the tsx! not even a coffee cup.. but then i realized what she ment.. but even then i dont like things on the roof.. its why the RDX has fold down seats.. it will fit more =)

Roof rack is good for two bikes, or 6-8 2x4x8's depending on their moisture content and species. It is no Yakima. However, over-all it was a good buy and I recommend it. I can't remember what we paid, but the dealer wants $410 for it today.

^Need an Acurazine card so we can get them to join our chat/meets.

On a side note it looks like we will not be getting new rubber on the TL this month as someone at US Bank did not properly place a stop payment on our mortgage check for the refinance, so we just spent $2100 that we were not expecting to. Very frustrating, as we went into the branch to complain yesterday, but they would not talk to us and never called us back to apologize/explain what happened. Huge mistake on the part of USB, which also cost the mortgage company time and money (because they have to recalculate all that paperwork with a new payoff amount). Going to complain to the Regional Manager and see if we can at least get someone’s ass chewed. :angryfire

Alright, maintenance guy at my work let me pull my car into our vehicle fitting area and work on my car this week Finally got those bolts off so I can get my torque damper on.

Speaking of such, anyone here bought anything from Harbor Freight Tools? I hadn't heard of them until recently, and from the looks of it, they sell a few tools I'd want at pretty low prices. However I'm curious as to whether or not the price matches the quality Anyone have any insight on them? Hate to buy an air compressor + impact wrench only to have it die out in no time..

Yeah I was curious, since you could get an electric buffer for your car for like $30.... when the ones I've seen on the Wash & Wax forum are at least $110.

I have my air compressor from them and air impact.. had both for 3 years no issues yet.. my air compressor has a warranty too.. when it comes to some tools i look at it as they are so cheap if they break i will just get another.. most will last you a couple years if you take good care of them i had a 3/4 in socket set from them lasted 4 years and then just recently replaced just the ratchet due to a engine swap i did for someone and stripped it on 132lbs bolt.. i suppose i could get a craftsman for 50 bucks with lifetime warranty

anywho they are great if you are looking for a few cheap things to get you buy for a few years or longer depending on how you take care of them..

edit:
just saw your other post.. i have there car buffer and it works great.. has a digital read out.. got it same time as my air compressor as well. still goes strong..

I bought several items from HF, including a buffer, brad nailer, and 1/2 ton floor jack (all Chinese made), and they all work great. However, I did notice they are stocking some items that I would never put my trust in; the $4 multi-meter. It is a great way to save some money if you don't care where the stuff is made. Same thing with Lowes vs. Home Depot. You can buy a set of fence pliers at Lowes for $5 less! That's lunch at Subway for me. But ultimately you are taking lunch away from the guy who works at Crescent (CooperToolsUSA) by purchasing the Kobalt brand. Food for thought.
