Buy few bottles of good whiskies and start drinking @ home.

Got this urge to take FX for a spin, so I did few runs on the highway tonight. Totally forgot how sexy this thing sounds when its floored to the redline. And how great it carves the corners (even better than my TSX). On the way back, I said to myself, "screw the gas saving crossovers. I'm keeping this."

Unichip is available for $500. Its a piggyback system and you can load few different maps and change on the fly. FX guys use tuned 350z maps and most are loving it.

I remember visiting Unichip headquarter in Hillsboro few times when I had a '05 TSX. Was trying to make a piggyback system when Hondata only had reflash for '04 & '06.

500$ seems like the going rate.. a piggy back wouldnt be bad either.. unleash a few ponies and if you drive normal save a few mpg cant go wrong there.

I was going to save up for euroR front lip, but I might get this Unichip first and load up two maps. One for fuel economy usually for highway use and another one for 91octane+ performance.

Hope they throw in some free stuff when I go visit

No one with fx35 did the dyno at the FX forum, but I think it gets similar gain with Unichiped 350z since all the guys use tuned Z maps for the FX35. I'm not surei f Unichip will tune it in house, but they do have dyno for product development.

You should go with FX35 too since RDX doesnt get that great mpg either and aftermarket support is limited. FX35 have lots of aftermarket parts since many of Z and G parts are interchangeable. Plus VQ engine and FX35 exhaust sounds damn sexy, almost exotic like.

Sure, that makes my day easier in fact. I can get the tires done before you show up That and I am switching cell phones on Saturday too, tires, phones, brakes, all adds up to a busy day.

Do you still want to come to my house? Or do you want me to go to yours? Only issue I see with that is that the rotors will be hot! In fact with the the way they are they get extremely hot just coasting, no less actually having to use them down Germantown, and of course I can't just "coast" germantown...

woo.. which one you getting? i bought samsung galaxy s3 in white for my wife last week and this phone is pretty amazing. if the new iphone 5 is same as the leaked photos, i'll be ditching the iphone too soon. wasn't a fan of edgy design and still am, and hate that reception when used without the bumper.

I'm going HTC One X. After playing with GS3 and reading its reviews it is deffinitely more powerful than the One X, but I just don't like the Touchwiz UI. The new sense 4.0.4 or whatever seems to have cured any lag that Sense was causing.

The leaked specs for iPhone 5 don't really excite me, a stretched 4S is really what it is, and then iOS6 isn't much different from iOS 5 other than removing Google from the OS which Apple is trying to portray as an innovation.

Seems that since Steve Jobs died, Apple's new agenda is no more innovation, just use our billions to sue the competition out of the market... I can't suppor that BS heh. Though I will still buy Apple computers, they just run better for what I do. But I can take a small stand with a new phone lol.

Yea, I totally agree. After seeing iphone5 leaks which are just stretched version of iphone4 and bit thinner, it just killed my interest of buying one (where's the new innovative design?).

Add on to that, Apple winning billion dollar lawsuit against Samsung for copying iphone's design (rectangular with rounded edges, which is "Apple's trademark") Wonder if Samsung will sue the Apple when they start selling iPad Mini for copying the Galaxy Tab's 7" dimension What happened to the Steve Job's statement regarding 7" tablets? "Dead on arrival?"

So I'm gonna wait till the new Galaxy Note2 comes out and see if my wife likes that better than the S3. If she does, I'll take over the S3 and buy her the new Note2.

I wasn't a Apple fan either with all the hypes and having to go through itunes to upload whatever. But after the first purchse of iphone 3g years ago for my wife, Apple products started to flourish in our house because we both got hooked on with ease of use except that itunes deal. After that we went through ipod shuffle, ipod nano, two iphone3g, two iphone3gs, and currently have two iphone4 and ipad2 and sold one iphone4 that was laying aside bed all the time as a backup phone last week after getting Galaxy s3.

But I'll be anti Apple again unless they come out with really innovative iphone years from now or probably never with Steve Jobs departure.

Nothing on mine yet. Its been rock solid and love the almost rattle free interior being a 2006 model. I don't know if its only me or not, but I had lotta interior creaking and rattle issues with '05 TSX & '07 TL and my current '08 TSX is rattling 3~4 spots as well. Very annoying trying to pinpoint the rattle and fixing it.

No one did a 6spd auto swap by the way. I know one who did a 6spd manual swap, but not the auto. I think with all the cost and hassle, its better to get used 2nd gen (2009+) since it has a 7spd auto tranny. Also some upgrade the tranny with Transgo Shift kit. Heard the shift gets much crisper.

Oh, very known issue of the FX35 I forgot to add on.

Dash bubbling issue. Many have issue of dash bubbling up and it usually shows up on models older than 2005. Updated '06~08 doesn't really have this issue and if it bubbles up, its covered under extended warranty (8year/unlimited miles).

Some have one or two bubbles and some have bubbles like a nasty skin cancer or what

minor..

I will say (and I don't care who reads this), she is the only one of Carrie's co-workers that I would sleep with and face the consequences later.
Yes, she is smokin' hot.

Take a closer look. The side wall on that Michelin is bulging out. Looks like a $600 bill to me. The only positive note is, after I buy two more tires,
I will have perfect spare tire with less than 15k on it if I fuck up again.

I decided not to sell the FX, but wife thinks it'll be good to have something that drinks less gas than the FX. So.. we went to three dealerships to take a look at new suv's. Didn't do test drives. Just quick stops to take a peek and compare the new models.

First stop was Beaverton Honda. All new CR-Vs are sold except one. It was a EX-L model and saw all the usual things expected from Honda. Very spacious for the size but don't feel that luxurious.

Second stop was Beaverton Hyundai. Saw someone test driving a new 2013 Santa Fe right after leaving Honda dealer so did a unexpected stop. This thing looks amazing in and out. They had two fully loaded version and one was being sold already and another was a demo. Other two in the lot was a base Santa Fe Sport with AWD. But even the base model looked very luxurious and much more upscale than the fully loaded CR-V. Was just amazed, but down turn is its a Hyundai and we are still iffy on buying the new Hyundai.

Third stop was Beaverton Mazda. All sold out... Not even a demo.

So we have three options now.
1. Keep the fx35 even though expense is high.
2. Sell and buy one of those three now.
3. Sell and buy a beater for me now and save up rest of money.
And buy one of those three after few years since they all are first
year model if we really need one.

Brandon, you interested in buying my FX? I'll give it away for $25k with all the mods attached.

PHEWWW ill do 1 more dbw cover and if i have enough time the hood mold piece and i will call it a successful summer

I had a RDX as a loaner several times. Its a nice suv, but not that great mpg for its size.
And '09 and up FX is sure nice. Just saw one in black this morning too. Very sexy. But one problem you'll have is camber adjustment when its lowered. I think you can go either spring setup or coils, but people have problem adjusting rear cambers and just go back to stock height.

Just setup an appointment at Acura for AC service. $190 for evac and recharge the system. I had this "whoooP" sound similar to brake noise when pads are worn and thought it was brake related. But on Sunday, I found out it was AC related and googled the problem. I wasn't the only one having this issue and cheapest solution before the whole AC unit going bad was evacuation and recharge.

Mine doesn't happen frequently like others, so hope that ac service fixes the issue.

And.. Brandon, does your engine have a timing chain slapping like sound when cruising on highway? It sounds pretty similar to ka24 engine with bad timing chain guides. Or it might be valvetrain noise?

not that im aware of.. exhaust might drown some of it.. but i do notice on cold mornings the valves sound like they are slapping.. i think i need to adjust them.. i really am not looking forward to changing the timing chain if i need to.. but if i do it before 120K miles i might add the skunk2 auto tensioner just to be on the safer side
