Wow Dennise... I'm very sorry to hear that your wheels got jacked. I hope that nothing else was messed with on your car.

Hi Gary!! Hope all is well with you.

Only damage was to the side skirt where they put the spare wheel/tire under. Took off some paint, but nothing visible from the outside.

Insurance covered the wheels. I guess that's good.

Good to hear damage was minimal and insurance covered the wheels.

Are you thinking about replacing them anytime soon?

Not the same. I've been wanting to switch up to a 17" wheel. I guess this is the best time to do that. I am going to get WORK's again.

17x8 et 0 / 17x9 et -15.. Should fit nice.

Gate is completely locked at night. Our gate is 6ft tall w/ points at the top. Alarm will go in after wekfest.

Whoa 17's! That would look crazy! Can't wait to see the results!

Dang 6ft tall and I still can't believe they attempted it. You would think that would be enough of a deterrent.

Vimal, are the viper alarms the ones that have a larger key fob and LCD display? Those things seem to have issues. I'll just go with the tilt sensor. Too many cats and squirrels outside for proximity. Just as long as they don't lift the car from the front, I'm good.

Lito, the old WORK's are going on. I never got rid of them. Not sure what time we will leave. The groups roll in time is 9:30. I'll find out if they want to caravan.

i havent had any issues, except breaking my report from dropping and normal wear in tear, since 2002 or 2003! also, sensitivity can be adjusted on all the sensors. seems worth it. without remote start, the fob is smaller with no display.

.
the 5901 comes with 2 remotes, the bigger one with the screen and 2way function like you mentioned, and another skinny simple remote with just buttons that is only 1way, and im not sure it's capable of the long range the lcd remote is.

the 5901 and 5902 have the bigger remotes with screens, 2-way, and 1mile range.

the 5701 comes with 2 slimmer remotes, no screens, it IS 2-way on one of the remotes but it doesnt have 1mile range, it has 2000ft range.

http://viper.com/P-5202V/Viper-5701-...e-Start-System

oh and i forgot to mention that these all have remote start too, if you want JUST alarm then you'd need something like the viper 3002 BUT those remotes are cumbersome because of their odd shapes and antenna, they're not sleek looking like the ones with remote start either.

and if you dont want viper, you can go with either clifford or phyton, same internals, just different looks. i originally wanted the phyton version on my alarm because i liked the look of that remote a little more but i couldnt find the same good price i found on the viper brand stuff.

Dang Dennis, I don't know what to say except sorry.

I dunno if these help but do u have a motion detector light on? What about installing a surveillance camera? I remember seeing those at Costco a while back.

It's too bad you didn't catch them in the act and pop each of them in the foot or kneecap.

dang sorry to hear about your rims dennis. that gets me worried too now, cause i park my car on the streets at night... and my rims also require a thin wall socket...
but yea like everyone said best thing is an alarm with tilt sensor and of course a trusty GLOCK .40 lol

i need to go back now because there's a faulty sensor somewhere, out of nowhere at random times, the alarm goes off telling me my door is open, when it's not.

Were you able to get your rim repaired? Just wondering if you have an update on Wheels America. Thanks!
