Anyone ever used mobile rim repair like this guy? http://www.rimrescue.com/...

so sorry to hear dennis. and it happend right in front of your house too. crazy. how'd they even get a jack under the car?
its time you invest in an alarm with proximity sensor and tilt sensor like i have. $25 add-on pieces for the alarm make it that much better.

O WTF...that hekka sux...but like vimal said...how did they get the jack under? dont u just slam ur car when u park anyways?
n yea getting those xtra add-ons for the car is definitely a plus...

Sorry to hear that this happened Dennis. Did it have wheel locks? It might be a good idea to take Vimal's suggestion and get some improved security for your car.
Let me know if you want to call off the detail, I would totally understand.

i dont think those lugs will work on other rims. i dont think they're big enough to firmly hold the rim.
even the generic ebay/muteki type lug nuts arent that great because they have a very typical "lock" and they're so cheap that anyone can buy a set of lugs and use that very key on any other lugs of the same brand.
the best bet is to buy some more expensive lugs that have a single lock like volk/rays 7 sided nut or like works lock that has a non uniform groving on the locking nut so the key will only fit one way, the ebay type, no matter which way you rotate the key, it'll fit over the lug. but even these expensive lugs wont keep them away. it'll just slow them down.
best bet imo is a 2way alarm with SST (1mile range) and 3 must have add ons... backup battery (incase they kill the power to your car somehow), proximity sensor(so when someone gets close to the car, it lets off a warning sound, this can get annoying too though), and the tilt sensor (there's a little hack i heard about if you simple cut one of the wires on the tilt sensor, it makes it extra sensitive)
ive tested the tilt sensor, i can only lift the car maybe 3-4 inches before it triggers the full alarm. and i havent even done the hack yet. 3-4 inches is nowhere near high enough to get the wheels off, especially on dropped cars.

now that i think about it, they must have used the scissor jack to lift the car from the back end since the backs are always higher. took the rears off and then put that spare tires under the frame on the side and moved the jack to the front to get access to the front jack points.
I never lay the car out when I park. Just brings more attention to it.
Looks like a Honda Jack. They used it on the drivers side first and picked up the whole side. Then, sat it on a spare tire. Jacked the other side up and left the Jack.

Nah, gate wasn't locked.
Only car these wheels would fit on is a Miata. Everything else would have mad poke. Also, if my rears are ran on a car with disc brakes, it needs to have at least a 10 mm spacer to clear any caliper.
