1/2 price for some 5zigen wheels and some nice Falken tires. They are a bit louder than the ones that I just took off, but it was worth it. These give a bunch more feedback on the traction when I am on the limit, which is nice, I get to her/feel them losing traction. This should help in the autocross category.

If I decide I need some cash, I'll be sure to let you know that they are for sale.

I am going to use the 17s as my winter tires, if I decide to pull the 18s off when it starts getting cold again.

Razzi, you'll have to show up to a meet so you can see them in person, they look pretty pimp with that fat chrome lip.

Word to that. I know exactly what ones i'd get I just don't have the money for them. Oh and this big meet were gonna have is gonna be my last one probably in my car anyways til summer. Because freshman aren't allowed to have cars on campus at my college. And my dad doesn't want my car sitting in the garage all year so he's putting at a friends shop in a storage area til summer. It's only about a mile away and easy access so I might be able to grab it when I want it but for the most part i'll be driving my moms sky blue 08 Toyota camry lol. Girliest car ever, doesn't even have a spoiler.

So I'm done with mods until next summer unless ABC decides to sell me his exhaust or if this guy comes through with the Type S wheels.

Wait a minute, you can't have a car, so you are putting the TL in storage, but you are going to drive a sky-blue camry? That does NOT make sense.

Doesn't sound like much of anything. I think the wifey wants to goto valleyfair, but I'm gonna try to convince her that she doesn't really want to.

Maybe it will rain tomorrow...lol

Sounds like Josh is going to be just a couple blocks away from my place today at the batting cages, so I'm gonna meet up with him and check out the new shoes.

We need some nice days again. Something in the upper 70's, lower 80's. Lately it's been raining or 110 - or both.

Because I'm only goin to a college 5 minutes from my house and I can't have a car on campus and my dad doesn't want it sitting in the garage because I'm living on campus and they don't want me coming home all the time so whenever I do have a car which is like weekends and stuff I have to use my mom's car because she never goes anywhere with it.

Looks like a lot of pool and hot tub action for me. Staying around the house and just having a few drinks with the neighbors. If you want to come on up, give me a call.

You should take the mustang, especially with his wheels.

Thunderbird will be quick, depending on the tuning. Close.

Focus will probably get ya.

I suggest you race them all just to be sure.
I am still coming this week, landing wed. evening. What is everybody doing for the weekend? We should def. do something. I will have a rental car so no problem getting around.

What kind of mustang is it? If it's a standard 6 cylinder - then you'd take him. a GT could be very close, but I think they would win from a dig. I can't even beat a stock mustang GT and I've got an '04 TL w/ CIA. Maybe if I had tints though I might be able to take them

Also either of the supercharged and turbo cars more than likely would take you/us too. That ford focus is probably one of those SVT focus's. If it's not, it has to be someone who modded the shit out of it to go out and buy a $3k+ turbo kit for it. They have already shown they aren't messing around.

Thunderchickens are no joke either. It would be nice, but unfortunately they are built with bolt-ons in mind. Again - someone dished out a few grand to supercharge their car - and all we can get with our mods is like 15-20 hp max... and thats with intake, exhaust, headers.

Our TL's are pretty quick when you line up all of the cars that are out there. But - when it comes to actually modding them, and racing - I've learned pretty quick that we're at the bottom of the list.

alright, i will try, but the focus is the least likely to happen, so i guess thats good.
i don't know if you know either, but i have CAI and headers, if that makes a difference..

And Josh did you cut your tabs yet? And I've heard most people use a hairdryer and a bat. But if it were my car I wouldn't do it that way. Try asking around how you should do it.

Dan - I know you mentioned that your cuz was coming on Saturday. Does this leave things off limits for you? Or is the afternoon free? That would work the best for doing something. Otherwise I'm sure we could get a couple peeps together for some dinner on Friday. Let us know and we'll make it happen

Probably around 10-12 hp? An exhaust would help the most - it's going to fix your bottleneck on the headers.

I haven't checked, but I've heard all kinds of stuff about cutting tabs. Have you done this, or is that a 3G thing? Otherwise check ebay. I'm not sure that's something that we can get at pep boys or an auto shop. You may want to search the forum and find someone that's done it. Might be your best and most direct route on how to fix it.

BTW - those rims are HAWT..... they look much better in person, and they have a pretty sexy lip on them too. Is that like a 2" lip? Pretty sweet either way.

Exhaust is not going to do anything, ours are already pretty free flowing. After headers you just get maybe 1-2 for the rest of the exhaust unless you gut/remove the cats. For headers alone you are looking at about 30 Hp according to the dyno sheets on CompTech's website.

To be sure though, we need to get the bear's car up to the dyno. If he puts up somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-210, then we can say that 30 is still a good number for the headers and ~10 is good for the intake.

Given that he has the TL-P, he can still put the Type S cams and throttle body on to get more power.

Where did you Dyno your TLS? Since we last met I've slapped on a set of headers and Comptech Icebox CAI. I would like to know the actual gains.

We all went up to a shop northwest of the cities, Dan, Glow, Jorge and I. It was called Hitech Motorsport. It is mostly a mustang, corvette, camaro type of place, but they didnt have any trouble getting us Acuras in there.

There is tons of information on here about making that upgrade. The cams would most likely be a day or two to install at Jorge's and the throttle body would take a matter of minutes.

Hell, while you are in there, might as well go for the thermobloks as well. Just another $100 or so, right?

Damn son, you should have stopped me or something! I left Ikea and went over to the Super Target down the street.

I need to get some more stuff at Ikea, but I need something that can carry 6ft of glass tabletop. Anyone got a truck?

Hey - those codes work for you? If not, I just got XP64 and Vista 32/64 with the codes. May have to get you new software - not sure if the codes match up to the software, or if it doesn't matter.

Plus I found a keygen, but not sure if it works yet. I might try it later this week.

Josh def. try cutting the tabs first, look for a diy on here and we could do it when I get in.

And yes, baseball bat and hairdryer work fine for rolling as long as you are very careful and slow in the process to give the paint time to heat up and flex with the metal instead of cracking.

Glow - Saturday works for me. I have to pick my cousin up at the airport at like 8 that night but before that I have no plans.

I am supposed to pick up a legit copy of XP64 with license codes today, but thanks for helping. Those codes were all ones I had tried before, and none of them worked for me.

I found plenty of those keygens, but since I dont have a Windows machine in my house, I couldnt run it. I have no idea if they would work or not.

I checked, and it appears that it is rubbing TDC, not the tabs, although it could be rubbing in both locations. The gap is something like 1/2 inch now in the rear, it looks great, just rubs a bunch.

Since you are getting an actual copy of xp64 with a working code - could I get a copy / borrow it for a couple hours?

The code won't matter because it isn't going to auto-activate anyways. I'd have to call into MS and get their automated system to generate a new one for me. But as long as you know what state the PC shipped to or was bought in, they don't give you any problems. That's how I'm running my XP32 right now.

Let me know - I do have a copy of 64, but I haven't checked to see if it will work or not. Plus, a lot of times they are cracked versions and you can't get updates and shit like that. I would rather go out and buy a legit copy than use a hosed up hacked version always worrying about not updating it otherwise it may break.

Also - when are you looking at picking up that table? Were you planning on before you left town for the weekend, or when you come back? We can always swing down there in my truck and grab it if you need. My wife love's Ikea, so we may go down there and look around too. Dunno if you wanted to meet us there when we're almost done, or you could even buy it online if you know what your looking for - and I can just grab it from the customer pickup desk on the way out. Up to you though, so let me know what your plans are
