I think something more along the lines of East Coast United or something to do with the East Coast is a much better theme. So we have potential sponsors for the area around DC, since there is such a big push for Raleigh, someone in that area needs to work on sponsors

We should have some sort of Southern/Northern incorporation for the stickers like how they had So.Cal and Nor.Cal caravan on theirs. Shows who's from where

I believed that this was already done by the Acura fest guys in Cali so I am not sure if we want to head down that path. They were charging 2 bucks for them.

I think Trew and others from Florida has said something about North Carolina and it doesnt seem like we are getting responses from Conn or NYC except for 55 so that could sway a decision towards NC.

 

How about this name 1st annual East Coast AcuRally or somewhere along those lines or

 

Yea, driving through FL is tough. And SC isnt too short if your taking 95 either. The drive from Long Island to the south side of Richmond takes me alittle less then 6 hours, so its not really fair for the people from south FL who want to come and have to drive 12 hours.

BTW not cuz I live in VA but I really think it is the central location for any mega meet.

 

I think Raleigh would be best. I'm in Northern FL and it's probably about a 7+ hour drive. FL is a very long state east/west and north/south. For SFL members it would be 13+ hours. Shoot, from Miami to Jacksonville is about 6 hours and they are still not out of the state. My

FYI Labor Day Weekend is Sept5-7th this year. Im sure lots of people have family plans and traveling should be a bitch everywhere.

 

I might have someone who does food for events like this ...

Seems like there is still alot of planning left to do for this to happen any time soon.

 

Agreed, i dont think this should be rushed because it will leave room for things to be overlooked.

 

I think next year is gonna be better because you are talking about two months to try to plan this event. That way we can get a better perspective and hopefully get as much people involved and sponsors in and the location.

I think most would agree to that. If DC or Raleigh gets chosen some people will be lost

 

It's the same for northern people, if Raleigh is chosen over DC/Virginia, a lot of northern people may not make the trip

You should try asking some of Mid-west State

Indiana, Kentucky, an Ohio. Maybe some guys in Illinois an Michigan may also wanted to come.

To tell you the truth I think by just looking at the US map I think middle part or south part of West VA is the best spot. It's like in middle all the states. Only thing I see is that maybe problem is too far for anyone in South FL an North NY guys. The main idea is trying find good spot for MEGA MEET. We just need find a located for FL & NY guy to meet somewhere in middle so both state would be travel about some amount miles.

 

how about a compromise and we do VA beach. thats about in the middle between DC and Raleigh

 

no matter what date we choose, there will always be people who can't go, it sucks, but thats just life. I might not even be able to make it because of school (I couldnt make the spring Skyline Drive meet because of a test I had to study for) but as soon as a date is chosen that will be atleast one step forward, then we can work on other things such as where, what venue, food, etc. just my
