The fair grounds is a great place to have it.Check it out http://www.ncstatefair.org .Right in the middle of Raleigh. Plenty of bathrooms. Lots of parking. We can rent a part of the grounds like we did for the Mustang meet. Depending on the size it ranges from about $150-$300 for the whole day. My buddy does BBQ cooking contest and can prob do all the grilling for us. Like I said, this is just some thoughts. Just want it to be resonable to everyone on the EC
These are definitely some good ideas. I like the way it's sounding so far.

Something else to gauge is where the most TLs coming from then i believe it would be easier to find a location nonetheless go vote on the poll!

Yeah, I'm kinda hoping that the poll will help us figure that out. The people coming from south of NC are gonna pick North Carolina (Raliegh) and the people from the north are gonna be picking DC or VA Beach. We should be able to make an accurate determination from that, I hope.

I think Virginia Beach won't work. It's way too far off east, everyone would have to get off 95 and drive another 1.5 hours, if you want to do VA Beach, you might as well just do it in Richmond which is right off I95. I vote for DC though.

That's a good point. It is a bit of a PITA to get over to VA Beach. The easiest way from up North though is to either take US-13 or to get off 95 to 295 to 64. From the South, 95 to US-58 is really the best option.

I voted NC. Not because I live here, I don't mind driving to DC, but it' 5 hours for me from the Raleigh area. I'm sure anybody south of me would say the hell with it.

Raleigh is smack in the middle. It just makes sense.

After looking at the map again it does seem like south Virginia or NC somewhere would be the middle give or take an hour or so for some people.

Yeah, that's kinda what I thought as well. Raleigh is within 1 hour for both the CT guys and the FL guys.

Im down for Va Bch. Theres tons of places out there, and a few Acura dealers that may be willing to sponsor. VA police isnt that bad if you have out of state tags (like me). Just dont do anything really stupid and you wont get pulled over.

so sounds to me like Richmond is going to be between Raleigh and DC/Maryland? I guess we can make a decision after more people have voted in the Poll. Reguardless I think the sticker idea is cool too. I saw the stickers the cali-boys had and they looked badass!

It's not really a in between issue of Raleigh/DC. more of a in between NY/CT and FL/GA area. Geographically NC is middle ways.

Might want to broadcast this in other sections of the east coast regional forum's Acurazine Mega Meet threads. I might be attending depending on the date. Sounds like a good idea and would be a fun caravan.

Raleigh is pretty straight. A shit ton of restaurants and bars downtown. The mountians are about 3 hours west and the beach is about 2 hours east .

Honestly, I think VA Beach should be tossed out, way too out of the way for everyone, but would be a cool place in general to have the meet.

Richmond, is smack dab in the middle along with Raliegh, but I think DC would have a better turnout as it seems like most of the AZiners on here are from the Northeast.

I like the name Acuralantic a lot. Leave the stickers to me, I should be able to get a decent hookup on them and I can ship them out before the meet.

Stickers:

Yeah, good idea, should do something to incorporate screen names into the stickers or something so we can tell exactly who is who.

Honestly. if people are really wanting to get this huge meet going then get some sponsors. local acura dealerships. id say have a good layout what is going on. like 55 said. we can make it a weekend meet.

Yea, I still think Richmond would be best as well. Va Bch is nice, but it is a bit out of the way. Richmond is right off 95. People from ATL can come right up 85, SC and FL can come right up 95 and people that are east or west of Richmond can hop on 64.

I think Raleigh would be best. I'm in Northern FL and it's probably about a 7+ hour drive. FL is a very long state east/west and north/south. For SFL members it would be 13+ hours. Shoot, from Miami to Jacksonville is about 6 hours and they are still not out of the state. My
