G-force is a fun place, but if we plan to have a big meet...it won't work. G-force is kind of unorganized...it would take forever to get on the track. Doing the meet at a track whether it be Va. or N.C. is the best option for all the reason I said before.

I couldn't agree more. If we take our time and do this thing right, it will be without a doubt an overwhelming success! Next summer would give us more time to plan, reserve vacation time from work, and save up on $$$. This just could open the door wider for more members to attend. Just my

 

^ We can do one next summer sure, but I don't see any problem with going on and doing a meet this year. 2 months is enough time for alot of people, and from this year's meet we can determine things that need to be changed for a bigger meet next summer

 

Well look if yall want to rush this thing then so be it!!! We have a meet in Oct. every year called a skyline meet where we go up the mountains of Va! Its a pretty big meet every year and thats where I stand! Im not going to rush a big mega meet with only 2 months to go, and yall not going to get the people that you want!!!

Now I will be honest with yall, Im going to pull a line from the Movie (Along came polly "I really dont think that its going to work out for you, but Im pulling for yall"

If yall would like to attend the skyline meet, there will be a thread up Im sure this month so look for it! And the people that missed out on Va Beach meet, can make up to come to that one!

 

I'm def. Goin to the skyline meet.. I had a blast from the one on may 31.. For the mega east coast we should do it spring or fall summer is too hot and humid imo..

I'll attend skyline, and I also think that a mega meet in two months won't work. The more time we have to plan the better, and there will be other meets to hold us over in the meantime such as the skyline.

I liked Blueridge Parkway alot. Also people from WV, TN can meet us up easily.

 

We should set a date when voting is cut off so we don't make a decision on a location and then have votes come in after the decision has been made.

I definitly agree that a east coast meet should have plenty of time to arange.I've done some talking to the people at the NC track ,but I have not even got to talk to the strip manager yet because there just that busy.But I was told that it is beter to schedule a big event 6 months ahead of time.To let promoters to get out there and advertise.For venders and sponsers to be able to make it on the same day.Also to get a solid list of how many cars and people attending.If and when I get to talk with the track manager I will update with some info.Any other option I will still attend.I just beeen relucktent to jump back in the thred because there seems like theres a boss when it come to the mega meet.Lil turbo has said it has been discussed and it will be in va anyway because at his last meet of 20 cars they made a decession for at least 80 cars that have vote so far.Also I'm sure not even all 20 guys would agree with him either.so now that would be less than 25% of the votes so far.So if he is in charge thats fine with me I will roll anywhere for a east coast meet.
but lil turbo you do sound like a lil prick the way you respond.I know thats how you have to be at your job but come on man you dont need to try to have a hugh meet because because there is 20 guys agreeing with the spot.I'm sure when all said and done there will be 150 cars+ willing to attend no matter where it is.

 

You took what I said out of context, When I said that we as a group talked about the mega meet, we all voted on the meet being next year, we never talked about a location. So I dont know what your reading, second, Im not in charge of anything because we still dont know if its going to be in Maryland, Va or NC! The only way I'll be in charge is if its in Maryland and if the other people want me to be in charge or help then Im down with that, but it doesnt have to be in maryland because Im down for anything.

fight fight fight....lol....so next year eh....i dont care where it is...im kind of tired of not having long driving caravans...plus highway racing is so much better than street racing....

That race track in NC looks tight...MIR in MD is definetly hot...and go cart will be ok for the 15 - 30 ppl that get to go go carting....now i dont know how big that track but we will have a hell of a wait time for go carting other than driving our cars down a drag strip....probably can see if we chip in enough money we can all attendees get a free run down the strip....now that would bring people out....but lets keep this going that way we can ensure alot of members showing...you have to think of all the things needed to make this successful

Hey guys. if we do get this rolling. Id suggest doing it on a long weekend. if im going to drive 12 hours i need atleast 3 to 4 days or so

 

I think next summer is a great idea, it gives working folk plenty of time to get off and it gives students more freedom to do it. Plus ill have more mods to show off by then This meet is gonna be too awesome to plan in just 2 months.

 

The general consensus sounds like the Mega Meet is postponed until some time next year. Great idea, to allow more time to plan. First things first. We need to pick the location now or really soon. Then someone needs to step up to be in charge. Others can help coordinate and make arrangements. But until the location is decided and someone steps up, this is going nowhere.

 

preferably someone who lives in North Carolina or Richmond area, that way they're close to the location and make better arrangements.

 

DC and Virginia certainly killed in the polls, so I would say Virginia whether north or south seems to be the settled location

lol he said DC and Virginia. if you add it all up its 47 for DC/VA plus 6 for MIR which is south of DC even tho its in MD. MIR is close to VA. just sayin

 

Plus last time I looked at NC it was way behind and not tied with DC, either way, DC and VA beach = VA to me, as I said north VA and south VA

 

Maybe I overlooked the thread but is the fall meet going to go down in Blue Ridge or at Skyline? Is it even going to happen? Has anyone see any info on it?
