Acurazine East Coast Mega Meet

Alright, so alot of interest looking at the West Coast thread. Let's decide on a location first and we can go on from there!

I guess Richmond, Virginia or Washington DC seem the most reasonable. Just depends on how many people come out!

This would be awesome! Especially if there are vendors/sponsors.

Yeah, but it depends on how far you southeast guys are willing to travel. We have potential to make it a pretty big turnout

Somewhere in VA or DC is prob the best. Middle ground ya know. Same place we had East Coast Honda would be good. I'm making the drive no matter where it is

Ya I see what you're saying, cuz its a long drive to DC (thats where I bought my car) I would say that central va would be better since it would save us a few hours but then some of the NY guys might not want to come.

Don't forget Florida is one hell of a long state to drive through! NC would be pretty much the middle of the east coast. Maybe Raleigh?

I'd take the drive if it were attractive enough.

Raleigh would be freakin amazing since I'll be living about an hour from the border of SC/NC

Hey folks, just popping in to say that while I don't speak for anyone else, ATL is way too far south for the Northeast crew. DC or NC seem like more of a central location, although even NC is 10 hours from up here.

Anyway, this is going to be sick, whatever it turns out to be!

Virginia is 16 hours from here.
NC is about 12 hours from here.
DC is maybe 19 hours from here.
NYC is 21 hours from here.
Atlanta is 8 hours from here.

NC is geographically closest to the midpoint of the east coast.

Yes, it is.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday. Plus, 95 goes right by there, so it's a straight shot from FL or NY.

I've been to Raleigh a few times for business. It's a really nice town. I love the UNC/Duke rivalries, too!

How does "AcurAtlantic" sound as a name? It's being tossed around in the Mid-Atlantic Regional forum and sounds pretty cool... I think there are going to be location polls put up soon.

I'd drive to Raleigh for this.

All the Mid-Atlantic guys seem to think that DC would be a central location for the meet. But as Trew said its not so much for the southeast guys. FL,GA, so on and so forth. Raleigh really is smack dab in the middle. And I'm not just saying that cause I live in Raleigh. We have alot of good spots for something like this. About 5 or 6 import performance shops that I'm sure would be down to do some sponsor stuff. As well as a decent Acura dealership that I happen to know the service manager there and I'm sure they would be down to do something with us.

VA beach is also getting thrown around too because its a 10 hr drive from fl and a 10 hr drive from NY/CT area. According to google, Raleigh is about 8 each way.. Don't really think its a good spot cause of all the traffic. VA beach can be kind of a confusing place. I work in that area 2 times a week driving a tractor trailer so I know what it's like up there. Who knows what's gonna happen, but I can foresee this not working out for some reason. Mid-atlantic guys are gonna want further north and us Southeast guys are gonna want something more in the NC/SC area. I just think that what ever spot is chosen, we are gonna lose a core group of guys.

Can you southeast guys add your suggestions to this poll on the meet location? It should help us get a better idea on where most of the interest is.

NC would be the easiest for everybody. I know traffic up north really sucks balls, but if we want the FL/GA crew to come, I'm sure they would gladly drive to Raleigh instead of DC.

I would definitely prefer NC as it's not quite as far as the 15hr+ drive to northern VA.

Of course, I went to highschool in Alexandria, VA so I'd have a free place to stay if we settled on D.C.

Hey southern guys, GO VOTE! So we can get the meet to be down in NC closer to us all and not way up north. The NYC guys are all trying to get it way up there. hahah

VA Beach is a 10 hour drive from NFL. SFL would be about 15 or 16 hours.

my 2 cents

I can only speak for myself but if we can combine a meet with a drive it would be worth it for me, Tail of the Dargon on the border of ten and Georgia is the Holy Grail of roads to drive, I once got lost somewhere in N Georgia on the back roads and I had the most fun ever in my car, lots of mountains and winding roads, having said that Atlanta, Tail of the Dragon both sound good to me for and drive and meet

You should try asking some of Mid-west State

Indiana, Kentucky, an Ohio. Maybe some guys in Illinois an Michigan may also wanted to come.

To tell you the truth I think by just looking at the US map I think middle part or south part of West VA is the best spot. It's like in middle all the states. Only thing I see is that maybe problem is too far for anyone in South FL an North NY guys. The main idea is trying find good spot for MEGA MEET. We just need find a located for FL & NY guy to meet somewhere in middle so both state would be travel about some amount miles.

I still think Raleigh/Richmond are the best choices to stay central for FL and NY guys

Don't forget about us Midwest guys! ATL was a 14 hour drive. Never been to NC or DC. Coming to FLA in October though.

I know I'm in Tn and this might sound a little bias, but what about Bristol? It seems kinda central for just about everyone east of the Mississippi.
