If there was a Steam rep sytem, I'm pretty sure I'd be at 95% right about now. That's kinda extreme though.

I usually leave neg rep for excessive blabbers who do nothing but stupid unintelligent and often hate crime worthy phrases.

Its amazing half the people on live were even smart enough to sign up.

 

I think I'm going to start negative rep-ing all those racist fuckers on COD4... there's sooooooooooooooo many of them. They sound so damn ignorant they have no idea... Every other word is the "n" word.

 

I'm at 80 something % right now. Most of it is due to my supposed unsportsmanlike gameplay.

Silencer + UAV jammer = unsportsmanlike gameplay

Juggernaut is more unsportsmanlike, if anything. I shot this other sniper with juggernaut on (I didn't have stopping power) 4-5 times in the upper chest with the Remington 700 and he didn't die! I swear I shot him in the head too.... maybe not but he just didn't die.

 

I think what happens is I'll have silencer and uav jammer on and our team has uav.

I see someone coming up on the minimap so i'll hide and wait for him to advance and kill him. Of course in their death cam, it just shows me camping and waiting and makes them furious. I've been called out on this so many times..

They fail to recognize that there is no way I would get as many kills as I do just by camping in 1 spot all game..

You check your rep by pressing your Xbox Guide button (the big X in the middle of your controller) then going into the tab all the way on the right, click profile, then view rep I think.



I'll have my volume slightly cranked up, and I usually use dead silence on my ninja class so I can sprint and I won't make a sound. If I hear footsteps and there's no one around me on my minimap I'll hide and wait for him too. On Downpour I was running around to the enemy's side, and I was in the grass when I heard footsteps (multiple) so I went prone and saw two guys pass. I killed one while prone, and the other guy froze in place so I got up and shot him too.

They were MAD afterwards. Said I had no skill because I was camping at a door riiiiiight, because 1 vs 2 is soooo fair. They're so stupid to not realize that its stupid to go guns blazing like that especially with UAV jammer

I don't camp either most of the time especially if I have UAV jammer. But sometimes there's an invisible line across the map I won't pass until air strikes/helicopter comes because I don't wanna be running around their spawn so that some dude spawns right behind me

 

yeah really, I rarely neg rep anyone, but the excessive racist comments or excessive blabber, I do neg rep. The funny thing is, these fuckers wouldn't dream of saying the same things they say online to someone's face.

I also neg repped some asshole who was giving this 50 something year old a hard time because of his voice. The guy was recovering from cancer for God sakes, yet this punk ass kid wouldn't just shut the hell up and was making fun of him for having cancer and saying crap like he should have died and if his voice sounded like his he would kill himself.


BTW: Love the Dead Silence on COD4, so underrated.. Nothing like sneaking up behind a habitual camper and shooting him in the ass.

Do you get this rep from enemies or peeps on your team? Never even heard of this. I thought you could only get docked for cheating/glitching or bad language.

Costco, my guess is you get the bad rep because you are too damn good. People are haters.

I think you can get rep from anyone. If you go to someone's gamer card, you can submit a player review, positive or negative. I usually don't bother unless its a team killer or someone being really offensive on the mic. Annoying people I just mute.

I don't even use my headset unless I am playing with somebody I know. Too many douchebags flapping their gums about dumb shit. Plus I'm too cheap to buy a new headset, and that one that came with the 360 hurts my head after a while.

I mean shit, I remember reporting some kid who had some racial slur in his GamerTag, and I bumped into him a couple months after I reported. I'll bet he's still running around, haha.

 

Mine was 77% avoided because of Halo, it's probably gone down with SF4, not my fault I've been challenged by the same person 5 times in a row and wrecked them.

Just curious my best option for setting up XBOX Live in my new apartment. My comcast cable modem is up stairs plugged directly into my computer via an ethernet cable. I'd like to run it downstairs, but I don't think it would be feasible to hard wire it.

If I were to go wireless, what is the best way to do it? Also what should I buy? And will the connection be stable, and playable?

buy a wireless router and wiireless card for ur pc. hardwire the exbox.

 

I use powerline ethernet adapters to connect my entertainment center (XBOX 360 and Dish DVR) to the Internet. It works like a charm.

One adapter connects to a switch behind my entertainment center and the other adapter connects to my router. I've had zero problems so far.

 

Are refurbished xbox 360s ok? Are they reliable or should I just buy a new one? Looking to buy one, and i'm just shopping around. Where is the cheapest place to buy one? Is the 20gb hard drive upgradable later? I'm wondering if 20 gigs is sufficient. Thanks ppl

 

360s have had a lot of failures. I'd be a bit nervous. Checkout Gamestop, they are sure to have them.

Is 20 gigs enough?
Well, when Microsoft was running things like they were when the 360 first came out, unless you where putting lots of music/movies/etc on the HD, 20 gigs would be more than enough.

The problem I see possibly running into now though (I have a 20 gig as well), is recently, they have been doing alot of the game "expansion packs" strictly through downloads only.

If you are hardcore into gaming with many games and want the expansion packs, you may find yourself running into a capacity problem.

With that said, if for whatever reason, you were swayed to buy new instead of used, just go ahead and buy the elite version since it has the higher capacity drive, and to buy 'a la carte' would be more expensive.

 

yeah even the new ones have a lot of problems, I'd be very wary of getting a refurb.

In the span of 2 years I've had 5 XBOX Pro's replaced, and 2 XBOX Elites replaced.
