Microsoft: Xbox 360 news
started hearing about this about a year ago.
and about how good its going to be... its been tested along with Playstations new motion control... word in the gaming streets is that they both beat the living shit out of wii's motion detector... and both have many more applications in terms of how they are used.
im excited to see how they intend to use this.

I believe Sony's Move is easier to aim since the Wii you had to point from the tip of the remote while the Move has a globe so I'm guessing 360 degree ability. I guess we'll see at E3. But don't they realize that it's a gimmick as very few Wii games are actually their price.

Gamestop has Kinect pre-order for $149.99
I take Kinect as Wii+++. If I didn't have a Wii nor PS3, I'd get it. But those games will get old fast. Maybe if they're online that'll extend the replay value or if you have get-togethers every weekends. The MGS was my only highlight but I don't have a 360 so I was like meh.

i promise thats of no fault of Microsoft.. read up on it a bit.

not to mention an online gaming community that i'd pay 100 bucks a year if i had to.
blu-ray is cool.. but its a cover up for the other things the ps3 lacks imo.

^^ more for less.. meh, no company will do that. especially microsoft.
i heard apple is coming out with a competitive console, maybe you could spend the dough on that
several of my friends have both 360s and PS3s and they mainly play their 360s. a couple of my friends have PS3s but don't have a single game for them
The 360 is an unreliable overpriced and poorly designed POS but I wouldn't trade in my 360 for a PS3 even if you gave me the gaming equivalents. I sure as hell would take a PS3 for free though, I need a BR player.
but built-in 802.11n? fucking douchebags. Go shove it M$. I have to admit though, it is a nice piece of hardware but it's probably more than a couple of years too late.

My 360 was rock solid for 3 years until I FINALLY got the RROD. MS replaced it...so now we'll see.
There are certain games on the PS that are awesome...GoW and Uncharted 2
But otherwise. I get games for the xbox..the controllers are better. WAY better.
I guess I've just gotten lucky.
I've had mine for......4 years? 5 years? One of those two.
Never had the RROD...or any other problem for that matter.
With that said, I've been tempted to get a PS3 for a few of it's offerings. Doesn't appeal to me AS much anymore though since I have a stand alone BluRay player now.

and you can still hardwire it if you choose.
hes complaining because the original consoles should've had built in wireless from the start.
kind of sucks that its only 2.4ghz wireless N, very crowded spectrum, would be nice if it was the 5ghz wireless N.
but still this things not going to make me go out and buy one asap.

after moving I had to switch my PS3 to wireless due to wiring limitations, and I would MUCH rather have wired - the wireless will occasionally have speed hiccups and that is not good when doing some epic pwnage in COD!!!! but, its nice to have the option, since if I didnt, I'd have to somehow snake cable into the room with the TV... or keep it in another room, both of which would be inconvenient...

to all the aboveand I had my 360 for 3 or 4 years without a single problem too (2005 launch console), except for freezing a few times while playing Forza. Then out of nowhere I turned it on and the RROD came on. I sent it in for a free repair and I've had the same one since, no problems. The current one is a little noisier though.
That said I see no real reason to upgrade. My next console is going to be a PS3 and its main purpose will be to play BR movies. I already get chosen as host quite a lot MW2 with the old wireless adapter so it works fine for me.

Today's Sony's e3 so maybe some of you guys will convert. Rumors are 250 and 500GB with 802.11 N. Nah, if you have a 360 with games, I doubt you'll game on your PS3. 360 has like twice as many users on many multi platform games. That's for sure on Rock Band as RB2 has a 2:1 ratio on 360 vs PS3. It is nice to have a browser, BD player, Netflix, etc. though.
I'll pick up the new 360 slim. My older one just died on me. Great to see built in wireless, but have no idea why they can't have a built in power supply. Any ideas? Size and heat would be my guess. Not really feeling the Kinect right now. I'll wait on that.

the PS3 i had for a while was for sony exclusive games and BR... but after i finished the exclusive titles for it i found myself buying all of the multi-platform games on the 360.. the online is just on another level.
i'ved owned both XBOX's and all 3 playstations at one point...
and will probably continue to buy each as they will have their own benefits... but the lead in GAMING goes to xbox for the time being... sony has nice bells and whistles though.
Old Xbox 360's get the cut to make way for the new ones.
