Ok so I somehow am still playing this game. I don't fucking know why... I think it is because 'what if a Snorlax or some rare pokemon is there but I don't open the app? I'll miss it' I think it is the allure of finding those I haven't found/hatched yet.

But making the main 4 starters so mother fucking ridiculously hard to catch is fucking stupid. Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Pikachu... even if it is a 100 or 200 cp one it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to catch. Takes at least 10 balls and berrys IF it doesn't run away. Yesterday saw a Pikafuck and threw a berry and then threw an excellent throw with an ultra ball and that fucker hopped out after 1 beep. Fucking kidding me? Fuck you.

It also gets worse as you become a higher level. Everything seems to be running away from me now.

 

Ive been going to new places and it's helped me find new things. I've had a few pikachus escape but I stil think the most consistently hard thing to catch are the damn weedles and pidgeys.

Ive also noticed a particular pokestop that is a bit off the beaten path has given me two 10k eggs, it has also given me a 2k egg but I'm still holding off on hitting pokestops when I can get another egg until I can hit this pokestop to keep testing my theory. None of the pokestops on my street (which can all be hit from a car) have ever given me a 10k egg.

I have a buddy about to leave for a 2 month job fishing in Alaska. We just went to Gloucester (the town from the perfect storm) so he could find quality gear for the trip.

Magic carp, shelders and goldeens everywhere. It seems like pidgeys and weedles are completely replaced with magic carp and shelders there.

Anyone ever catch a vaporeon? I'd never even seen an evolved eevee in the wild until last night then this happened...

 

I saw one last weekend. Was driving and couldn't catch it. Wife got one but when she tried with my phone that little bitch bailed out.

My irrational anger sent me into hulk mode and I nearly pitched my phone out the window. That was not healthy.

 

Never seen one in the wild, but I swear if I saw any type of Eevee evolution I personally would NOT go for it. Eevees are like Rattatas here. I've already evolved about 30 of them and still have hundreds of candies for them.

So, my kid managed to perform a factory reset of my phone on Monday and that was the much needed impetus to take a break from the game. However, we went to the park after dinner tonight and I reloaded the app and caught a few critters.

I just got a jinx out of a 10k today

 

 

You riding that super slow? I heard they increased the kph speed to hatch eggs but that was only for a couple days now it is back to shit aka takes 20k to hatch a 5k egg. I believe it... no way is it accurate for me.. takes me 2-3x the distance to hatch an egg.

 

The tires are pumped up to about 65 psi so it rolls very well. I just cruise around popping wheelies and occasionally scuffing circles but I rack up major mileage. I hatched a 10, 5 and 2 k today in about 3 hrs of screwing around. Not once did it give me the "you're going to fast" pop up.

Plus it feels good to still be able to get rad at 42 years old

Ah, damn. Haro! I actually remember exactly now. There was some little garage shop operation that made a similar style without the triangulation off the seat tube; that's what I was confusing it with.

I've got a similar vintage Diamond Back Reactor (Pro, maybe?) which was their top of the line ChroMo race bike riiiight before they went to an aluminum construction.

But it was great for riding street and bouncing off of everything. I could never bring myself to sell it and now that my boy is almost rolling on 2-wheels, I'm thinking I should clean it up and get back into the blood donation game. The slow rate of healing is what worries me right now and I've already made poor decisions with a skateboard and PokemanGo. Soo...

The need to maintain a job made me quit in the early 2000's. For trickery I'm stick to flatland freestyle stuff with shin pads and long wheelies. Low speed and no altitude = easy bail

 

Ah I remember those days. I had a Dyno VFR. Loved it.

So today I caught a Snorlax and FINALLY a Venusaur... all mother fucking 32 cp of him ... so can add that mother fucker to my pokedex.

And that Snorlax (only 300 cp or so) let me do 2 level ups of my top Snorlax. :yay:

Now have 108 in my pokedex. Moving on up..


Oh yea and I hatched another 10k egg... Scyther.. my fourth. And another will be hatching in about .5 km. Tomorrow I'm guessing. And it will probably a fucking Eevee.

small world, it just happened to me as well. As you can see mine was weak so I just transferred him to China.

And then I found him too. I already had a high level one so he also had to go to China.

 

I got super lucky with the one I caught, at the time he was my second most powerful pokemon. Plus it was nice to catch something you could immediately take to a gym and battle with unlike my unruly army of weedles.

 

So I just happened to open my app.. sitting here at work. And this mother fucker appears right in front of the building! I've caught 2 in 2 days. WTF!!!

The update literally just came out to the app store. Just need a few Pikachu candies from my buddy so I can evolve into Raichu and so on to help fill my pokedex.

 

Now my bike can add "candy factory" to its resume.

 

Dunno bout ya'll but it seems really glitchy now. Took me 5 times to launch it cus it kept crashing right after I tried to open it.

I'm buddy starting with the pokemon I need least candies for to evolve and fill my pokedex and will work my way to the ones I need more and more candies to evolve to fill the pokedex. Everyone has their own strategy. But right now, I'd rather walk 1k with Pikachu or 3, with .. someone else to get a candy, before walkign 5k with Snorlax just to get 1 candy.
