I have more than enough magikarp to evolve but just waiting on that mother fucking fat ass 200 pounder

 

I have 704 candies, but the CP is pretty maxed out according to the screen. I'd imagine the 200 would be hard to find in the wild.....

I almost have 500 coins from the gyms, so when that happens I am going to buy 8 lucky eggs.

 

The one time I wouldn't mind a magikarp from a 2k egg

I did that and it was only a 138. Nothing special, I was pissed. haha.

Edit: I have Pokemon in 6 gyms that are so leveled up nobody has bothered to attack. So I try and go for 7 and 8 when I push collect. One time I even got 10, that was awesome.

 

Magikarp turn into something badass when evolved but it takes 400 candies to do it. If you have 101 Magikarp, you can transfer 100 to the professor and get 100 candies in return. At that point you'd have enough to evolve your best one.

Ive also learned not to rely on CP alone to decide which creature to evolve. It's entirely possible to have more HP on a creature with lower cp. Also ignore there attack strengths when deciding which one to evolve as the attacks get randomized during evolution. HP and CP will always increase during evolution.

Side note, apparently some players in the U.K. have been able to take over a gym and leave an egg to defend it. It's impossible to fight an egg because it has no CP. Essentially putting an egg in the gym claims it forever. I tried it this am and if it ever worked, it would appear they patched it.

 

all the gyms near me swap teams so quick. I was lucky yesterday and got 2, was suprised my lapras lasted about 45 minutes at one gym.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. I have the candy to do it. My Magikarp is level 161. When I get my lucky eggs, then I'll probably do it.

I saw the egg thing, but the game wouldn't let me do it.

I have several that have been in a gym for over a week. It depends on the gym around here, some seem to switch every 30 minutes.

 

Guess I got lucky with my vaporeon, had a 70 damage charge attack, it when I evolved it, it gained the 90 damage hydro pump.

 

about the egg, I've always wondered, When you go to use a potion, you can swipe over to the egg section

I'm going to use my 2x egg later today. I have about 30 rattatas and pidgeys and weedles and caterpies to level up and then some new ones I'll level up to add to my pokedex. Still gonna wait on the magikarp until I find a better one.

I think my main goal right now is to fill my pokedex... as much as I can.. :/

 

This is pretty much my strategy as well. No more evolving until I'm a higher level and catching high CP creatures. No sense in wasting candies to get a 600-750 cp vaporeon.

Uhhhh... It's in "D" for Dorkmode. I.e. driving around looking for pokemans.

 

So I evolved to gyarados and it had twister move which I've heard is horrible. Me being poke noob, I have no idea what it is.

Anyways, almost halfway to evolving another magikarp.

At 1:38 today I'll be able to collect my coins to buy 8 lucky eggs. Tonight after work is going to be fun, I've been hoarding so much to evolve.

Yea it is getting stale for me too. Only 87 in my pokedex and unless they hatch from an egg, I don't see myself adding anymore...

 

Only thing keeping me semi interested are the gym battles.

 

So I've noticed something weird happening ever since the newest app update. Ever since then it always has trouble connecting to GPS.

Was just in the bathroom and had the app open. I noticed my avatar guy was walking further and further away from my work. I catch several pokemon along the way lol. My avatar keeps walking... in the middle of the highway and even further. Eventually I caught a Horsea... 1.5 miles away from where I was.. and finally had enough Horsea candies to evolve lol.

And I also walked 1.4 km.. according to the app. hah.

Not sure what's happening tonight, but EVERYTHING is running away from me.

 

so stupid, i was trying to catch a stupid cp100 Ekans, threw a pokeball, broke free, threw a great ball, broke free, threw a ultra ball, broke free, threw a great ball, broke free, finally got fed up with wasting the "better" balls and threw a pokeball. and i caught it

seems to be happening alot lately as well.

 

u know how we can do name change in our pokemons i have a great idea :wink:

 

 

This morning I've caught everything I've tried. It seems like they're harder to catch at night? Maybe they're punishing you for playing when they're easier to find?

 

I've found good luck with curve balls and mass tapping on screen once they're in.

 

I still don't really know how to throw a curve ball. I just throw it and sometimes it gives me 10 extra points for a 'curve'
