Well looks like they made the GPS stingier. I was able to sit at my desk and catch rats and pidgeys all day. Now it says GPS signal not found as soon as I walk into the building....

 

Whoa! Much easier to track Pokemon now.

 

Wtf... I started incubating 3 eggs at the same time. 2x 5km and 1x 10km.

the 10km one is currently at 5.1km.

my 5km eggs disappeared, didn't get any Pokemon. Only realized they went missing because I was getting some eggs from poke stops

 

What the shit, must be cause you're in SF?

I wasn't really salty about anything before this regarding this game, but now I hope they roll out that feature soon to my area.

Yea, all I see is grass in the bottom right hand corner where all the nearby pokemon are.

I just hatched a 10k egg today. It was an 1140 Scyther.

 

So I finally have enough magikarp to evolve into a gayarados. But my highest magikarp is 124. Should I evolve or hold off and try to find a higher one?

 

ohh, i just did a quick google. apparently they're testing it out. Some people only have the "nearby", some only the "sightings" and some both.

After catching over 100 I would think there would be a higher one out there..ugh.

 

So I've been noticing a lot of people walking around in my neighborhood staring at their phones as well as cars parking outside my house for 5-10 minutes and then leaving. I had a feeling there was something Pokemon go related going on. So I downloaded it.

Theres a gym right outside my house and my street is like a pokestop heaven as well as the cemetery across the street. Apparently it's the downside of being in one of the oldest surviving neighborhoods on the east coast. All the houses from the 1600's and 1700's are part of the game.

 

Well, wild pokemon level is determined by trainer level

 

Caught an 800 pinsir at level ... 13? And a 44 golduck at .. 19?

 

So any updates from yall? Most impressing is the server has been steady for a while now.. bravo.

Hatched a Magmar from my 10k egg yesterday. Holding off on evolving my Magikarp until I find a higher CP one. Will take for-ev-er.

 

Did another mass evolution last night. About 40 Pokemon. Mostly pidgeys and zubats.
Went from low level 22 to mid level 22

a while back I maxed out my eevee in terms of CP (I think it was like 680), I finally evolved it and luckily got vaporeon at cp1800 or so.
this thing slaughters Pokemon at the gym now.
Primary attack is 6, but the secondary is a 90 damage hydro pump

 

Nice nice.. I have 4 Vaporeons now. One held down a gym and i just collected my first 10 coins!

Doing this has become my signature move.

 

 

It may seem stupid but there's a lot of benefits to this seemingly insane gym strategy. I trained about 70 times against a pidgie with 10 cp. I can beat it with one shot and it does little to no damage against my other Pokemon who's training so need need to revive or use potions after training. I brought that gym up to level 4 last night, this morning I was shocked to see I still had and 2 other red team members moved in as well. Free xp, little need to waste potions or revives and easy prep to load a gym up with characters.

Plus the sheer hilarity of leaving a freaking 10 cp weedle, caterpie, or pidgie in control of the gym and knowing people probably fall over laughing when they encounter it.

 

i suppose that would only work on a non-active gym.

all the gyms near me change sides so often.

 

It's active, I'm just the last person to fall asleep and the gym's accessible from my house. If I did that at 2 pm it would be gone in minutes. I just snag the 10 coins and let someone else have it until tomorrow when I do it again but why waste multiple potions bringing a useful Pokemon back to strength when a disposable one can still earn the coins

 

Finally got a Growlithe from an egg. Haven't found a single one in the wild, even at level 21.

 

that's funny.. i've found SO MANY around here. Had enough to evolve to two arcanines now..

 

I run into a lot of them, but they run away a lot. Even using a damn ultra ball.

I do see a ton of Eevees though.. Caught 100 so far

 

i wish i had more eevee's so i can evolve more! Finally got a Vaporeon 1500+.. by with a 45 charge attack damn you for telling me about your 100 Hydro Pump.

 

Eevee's are incredibly common in my area. I have over 243 Eevee Candy. I also have a 161 Magikarp I am debating on leveling up.
