what is this game, and why is EVERYONE talking about it.

basically just going around catching Pokemon in augmented reality?

 

yes. its pretty neat how it works. i just really started playing it today. its like an adventure.

People are walking around holding their phones up look for Pokemon smh now my wife and my daughter is getting into it

 

Being an avid Ingress player (since beta), and now this... I'll admit, this game is going to get very popular, but at the moment it's just meh

 

Personally I am waiting for them to merge this thing with oculus rift. The way I look at it, you know how you look at games from even 10 years ago and think DAMN THAT WAS SHITTY! I imagine with this base version they will eventually move on to better graphics and more advanced virtual play to make it so realistic.

 

Its neat enough. Of course crazy people are starting to cry about safety concerns

 

so far its been very buggy needs an update

 

Needs more load balancing servers


Pokemon was my shit growing up so it's nice to be able to relive my childhood

 

My wife asked me about it and i had no idea, but geektyrant wrote about it and it seems its at least doing something right....getting kids and families outside in the fresh air!

There were a lot of people at the park near my house on Saturday night. As late as 3am, all playing Pokemon Go

I went for a walk during lunch (yes I decided to download it today to see what it was about) everyone was walking around with their phones out.

Even saw an old man playing, had to be late 60's early 70's. Unless, he was taking pictures of women and pretending he was playing Pokémon Go. Which old man could be on to something.

my office mate took me on an adventure for lunch. we caught, or shall I say, he caught a charmander

 

Surprisingly I haven't seen playing this except for my GF's 17yr old daughter. She walks around everyday now. Kudos to Nintendo for getting people out of the house. Plus I get to play my video games on the PS4 more often

 

So far I am just laughing at all the people I see walking around playing this. I have never seen so many people outside walking on our work campus since this game came out.
