Everyone else still playing? I am. Because it takes so much fucking xp to level up now, the only things keeping me in the game are trying to find those elusive mons to complete my pokedex (hatching eggs mainly) and to find enough Dratini to finally evolve into a Dragonite. Well yesterday I stumbled across that last needed Dratini.. haven't evolved it yet though! And hatched a Snorlax with 30 candies yesterday too!
I finally evolved some critters. Got one of those Magicarp Graydos water snake things now so I can actually fight at a gym and be mostly successful.
Pidgey farmed my way to Level 24. Caught a handful of Snorlaxitives.
So far, the only critter that I've seen and not caught is a warturtle. I saw one on like day one and he ran away and I've never seen another.
Until a few days ago... It appeared, I threw some berries at it, used a yellow ball and hit it smack dab bullseye with a "perfect" or "nice" or whatever, curve ball. I literally don't know how much more perfect the set of conditions could have been... And he bolted.
Yea.. still playing. Almost to lvl 30.. I think when I get there I'll cut my play time down A TON. Just the goal of reaching it is enough.
As far as the Halloween thing.. they either they went overboard as fuck or they literally replaced pidgey with gastly, rattata with cubone, weedle with haunter and caterpie with meowth. Also seen a few drowzees down here which is super rare normally. And they spawn A TON. I've rarely seen the normal pokemon but I started yesterday with 6 gastly candies and now I have 403.
Love the 1/4 distance for candy. Gonna use it to get enough candies to evolve the 4 pokemon I don't have enough for so I can help fill out my pokedex. Also used it to get enough candies to max cp my dragonite and will later do the same for snorlax.
Oh yea.. finally got enough dratini to evolve into a dragonite the other day.
Yea... started Tuesday and ends Nov 1.. which I think is Oct 31st evening USA time.
-Basically Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Cubone, Marowak, Meowth are the new Pidgeys and Ratattas and Weedles and Caterpies.
-Get 2x the candy for catches, transfers, and hatches.
-Buddies take 1/4 requirement to earn a candy. i.e. walk 1.25 km for a Snorlax candy instead of 5 km. Good way to earn candies to evolve pokemon you need to evolve to fill out your dex or load up on candies to power up your pokemon.

Also they've changed the CP... your mon will now be higher or lower CP. My Dragonite and Snorlax went up.. Rhydon went up like 1000 cp. A few down. Etc. You'll see.

So after going to Charlotte for thanksgiving I think I've gotten as far as I can get without going to other parts of the world or getting some 10k eggs.
I've heard that as a rumor, but I didn't know it was confirmed. If they add second generation I'll probably stop playing all together. I only liked the first generation.
