I believe there are lemon law rules for used cars as well, it may vary from state to state. How long have you had this car? Contact BMWNA?

I'm noticinng you can buy a B7 Audi S4 (2006+) for around the same price as an 07 335. Is this a better buy? How does the S4 compare to the 335 in terms of reliability, practicality, and maintenance issues?

Man I cant wait.. Im getting my tint put on tomorrow afternoon. 15% all the way around, with 5 yr warranty. Im getting it done by the best tint shop in town. Beverly Hills tint. The are doing everything except the windshield for $150. My baby is going to look soooo much better once she gets some tint on it.. OH the other day I was fucking around with a e90 M3 on I-75 and man that car is so much faster than my 335. I test drove one and what a difference. But head to head I hung with him from 3rd to half way through 4 then he pulled away from me. Also I toyed with a hooked up MR2 turbo 2 weeks ago and blew him away. WE just did a short run from light to light not going above the posted speed limit and I just walked him.. god I love my car but now i have M3 envy...

Now they've isolated it to the fuse box and have ordered a part. They "claim" that the problem can be replicated and fixed by moving some stuff tied into the fuse box.

So that's the next move. Guess I'll be in the 528 for a while.

Alright, my close friend is trying to purchase 3-series coupe.

He said he went to the dealer and asked how much would a fully loaded 328i coupe cost, and the dealer said around 47K.

Isn't that too high? I thought a fully loaded 335i coupe was around 47K, and that's without any discount. Aren't we supposed to get 3-4K off the msrp these days?

Please help guys.

Thanks in advance.

Scrib...as much as i thought i would never say this.... give Bimmer a second chance. I have had two now and both have been trouble free. I think you just got screwed somehow. Hopefully this will fix it.

You dont ask a dealer how much something is. YOU tell THEM the price.

He should be able to get it at invoice or even under. So figure what invoice is on the car he wants and go from there. There are also a few incentives out there. This forum should have most of that info.

That's what happened to me with Audi, when I picked up a A6 and the check engine light came on while I was on my way home from the dealership. They wound up buying it back from me, but it left a horrible taste in my mouth for Audi's ever since.

My solution: bought a trouble free Acura TSX, kept it for almost 5 years and then went to BMW.

Yea, but the TSX doesn't give me wood like the Bimmer does.

I know how you feel. If this doesn't fix it I'd probably sell the thing and avoid BMWs too. I did that with Audi after I had to lemon one when I lived in the US. I still haven't gone back. However, hopefully this fuse box thing does it and you'll start to like your car again.

The odds of getting two in a row with bad problems is very slim.

Sure, but why should I have to sell the first, perhaps take a bath on the trade in order to be satisfied.

I am hoping this latest round of repairs fixes it. I'm also hopeful the call to BMWNA will help.

Yea, in a logical sense, of course you're right. But you and I both know that's not how things work with this stuff. You either deal with frequent dealer trips and frustrations or you cut your losses and get rid of it.

I mean... you can get a 6spd, premium, cold and sport for $43K (MSRP). $47K must be everything and the kitchen sink.

Sheeeesh

Buy used, get a 335, and hope you don't get fucked with electrical problems.
