No, I haven't posted there. I did some searching and didn't find squat.
I took the car in today, drove all the way from the train station with the passenger mirror in the parking position.
I literally went back after I checked in at the dealer, grabbed a tech and told him to start the car and feel my pain. He literally sat there for five minutes cotinually pushing buttons, walked out and says "this will be interesting".
Makes me feel good. Fortunately, they have now seen the problem. Took the car back and started scanning immediately. I drove off with a brand new 328 and told them not to call me until it's fixed.

Damn.
This car was slightly used right? Were you able to pull up service records to see if the previous owner ever complained about the same issues?
At least that way maybe they have a place to start from in diagnosing it.

No issues on the service records. Maybe I just have really bad luck?

Bad luck with that car for sure. I've had friends with the hpfp issue, one had ticking wastegates, but no one I know has had the electrical issues you're having. Hopefully now that the dealer knows about it they can diagnose and fix it. Who knows, maybe it's something simple.

I wouldn't tolerate then not checking into it further.

Had to keep the car overnight to do some coding.
Just got a call that the car is still fawked up. Evidently when they installed the new footwell module, the next check is to disconnect all the comfort features associated with the FRM and test one by one.
Turns out the passenger mirror was somehow responsible for all this mess (no freakin' clue how that can possibly be) and had to order a new motor.
The CSR has no details...
So I have to wait until Monday when they'll have the part. Me thinks I got a turd of a car.

Good Scrib! Your real lucky! I recently had mine in, and they had me in a Honda accord for 2 days! I really missed my low end torque, and gass milage. BTW, I am getting 28.45mpg, with 15 city/75% Highway driving!! I seriously considered getting an E46 M3 instead of this car, and I definitely have no regrets when I fill up my tank!

^^^^^^
You're getting 28mpg in your 335? Is that even possible?
All I know is that I'm going to dive my car like it's stolen when I get it back.

I drive 400 miles weekly (using the ac), with the city/highway percentages I listed. I buy 14.05 gallons of premium each week. The car is advertised as 21/29 mpg. My Tls, in contrast, bearly managed 23 mpg with the same distance.

Got the damn thing back. 1 week later. Seems to be fixed.
Have to say the dealer did step up on this. Hard to believe that it was a faulty mirror motor that brought all the footwell devices down. Seems like a really poor design; if one fails they all do.
Anyhoo, she's back nice and shiny.

^ That kinda reminds me of when i had my Audi.
First month i had window regulators die and i thought i was doomed in terms of reliability. But once i got the car back it was smooth sailing for the next 3 years with no issues.
I have faith in your bimmer Scrib!

Just drove a grey/red 08 E92 M3 with 19's/navi/premium and it has delivery miles on it...asking 54 for it.

It's a 6speed. It felt fast and sounded pretty mean but I couldn't give it the beans since it wasn't broken in yet. It's definitely a great car but there are other options worth considering in that price range imo. Once I drive the 2 other cars I'm looking at, I'll give a sound review.
