You should not let him go to the dealer by himself. He needs a chaperone before he gets fucked over by the salesman.

He needs to do a LOT of research on the prices in the area so he has an idea of what's a fair price and what isn't.

I snapped a few crappy cell phone pictures this morning. I got home last night and feeling really crappy for some reason. So I didn't bother to move the car out of the garage for pictures. I'll take some better picture later.

Thanks all for the compliments. Can't wait to drive it this weekend. It's been parked in the garage since we brought it home on Wednesday night.

Modding plans??? Well, coilovers and wheels are on the list, but won't happen anytime soon.

So, uh...

I called BMWNA a few days ago, just to let them know what was going on. I was clear that I wanted to get the issue on record should it not be able to be repaired and I have to consider other options. I didn't get more specific than that.

So I get a call back today. Well-spoken individual from BMW who brought me up to speed on my car. Should get it back Monday as they're going to keep it over the weekend and do some more testing.

BUT-----> During our conversation, he mentioned that "BMW cares about my issues" and wanted to know if myself and a guest would be interested in an all expenses paid trip to their Performance Driving School in North Carolina to learn more about the BMW cars, get professional driving instructions and courses.

I feel out of my chair. Certainly is NOT my intent to get something more out of this other than a working car, but holy shit...

I'll have to talk with my wife as this would be a cool thing to do together. Stay tuned.

OMFG

Thank you for contacting BMW of North America, LLC regarding your vehicle. It was a pleasure assisting you over the past few days. The experience I was telling you about is called the BMW 101 experience and it is as follows:

What is included in the BMW 101 Experience?
• One-night hotel accommodations (double-room occupancy) and meals provided at the newly
renovated Greenville Marriott. Participants are expected to check-in the evening prior to the
experience.
• Upon arrival in South Carolina, participants will be provided ground transportation to/from
Greenville Spartanburg Airport (GSP), Greenville Marriott Hotel and the BMW Performance
Center.
• At the BMW Performance Center, participants will experience 3 two-hour segments including:
- Driving on the course, under the guidance of a professional driving instructor, in a
vehicle similar/comparable to the owner’s current BMW.
- Discussing and reviewing the operation of a current BMW with a knowledgeable
Product Specialist.
- Touring the BMW Manufacturing facility and Zentrum museum, Subject to closings.
- Lunch will be provided onsite at the BMW Performance Center.

I am pretty sure the d00d said airfare was part of the gig. I'll have to follow up.

I'm trying to see if they'll extend warranty and maintenance instead. That, to me, is much more valuable.

Damn I was just about to post something about how I think the current 3 series coupes look so sexy and then Jesal posted that damn sedan!

I still love the sleek lines of the coupe, and think they did a brilliant job giving it a unique identity from the sedan. I have to admit, in the right color, the sedan is tight!
