So I went to go see that car yesterday and completely fell in love. I've sat in a few 335 coupe and liked them all, but this color combination blew me away. I made the deal, traded in the lightly modded 2004 TSX for a 2007 Monaco Blue/Saddle Brown 335i coupe, six speed, Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, Logic 7 (plus the dealer is throwing in a TomTom Navi system), 13,000 miles. I pick it up next weekend. I'll post picks when I get it. I am pretty excited.

Got them down from $37,900 to $34,900. Plus a free portable navigation system.

They gave me $10,500 for my TSX, which was not in great shape. Needed shocks, the keyless entry was shot, needed tires, wipers, probably some other stuff. So I was happy with that.

I don't know how you got your price Scrib. I called a friend of mine that sells BMWs and told him about the car. I asked him what a good price would be for it. He said anything under 35 would be a good. Around here, 335 coupes in stick are RARE. They fly out as soon as dealers get them. After I bought this one the dealer told he received a good 5 calls on it earlier that day.

I loved the color combo so much that I willing to pay extra to lock this one down. The free navi sealed the deal. I'm not all wrapped up in the price, just happy I got the car.

Germanz FTW.

How many 3-series does that make now? 10? I count M3s because the 335i is a gateway drug to the M3 for some people

Hey guys, is the High Pressure Injection Pump (HDP) the same thing as the oil cooler? I'm trying to confirm that I have the oil cooler my dealership reported that the above was done. Am I good?

Thanks

Dunno. Happen to have a pic of the engine bay; anything on the dealers website you can link?. You can tell just by looking.

I posted a write up on the oil cooler a couple of pages back. Do a search. If its not on the vehicle, neither the dealership or BMW NA will put it on. Its $2000 if you want to pay for them to put it onl

I saw the write up. It was helpful. I just can't check the actual engine myself while at work. E-mail response to my inquiry was that it was done, but with respect to the High Pressure Injection Pump (HDP), not sure if the dealer is confused or if that is just fancy name for the oil cooler.

I think the hdp is the high pressure fuel pump that is known for failing on 335's.

Makes sense. So I still need to check on the oil cooler right?

Yes, the easiest way to tell are that the filter housings are different( google this) and look inside the passenger wheel well(front side), you will see some fins in there. You can see the oil cooler through the fins if so equipped.

You have the oil cooler since your 335i is a manual w/sport.

I wasted my 32k post to tell you that.

Thanks Jesal, I appreciate it.

I also got an email from my dealer confirming that I have it and it is fully operational.

Nah, if its an '07 it won't have an oil cooler, unless one was retrofitted. They only started putting them in April of 2007.

All 335i manuals have oil coolers. All auto WITH sport package post March '07 build have an oil cooler. All non sport auto's have NO oil cooler. Autos with sport pre March '07 build have no oil cooler (from the factory). Some people, like me (auto w/sport, pre march '07) were able to get the retrofitted. The high pressure fuel pump is completely unrelated to the oil cooler.

Yes it is, see the way it works around here is first you must get a 335 and then an M3. Post up some pics of your e90 M3.

I'll be joining this BIMMERZINE in couple months. My wife and I put in an order for an 09 E92 335i 6MT with the M-sport pkg. on 5/10/09. According to the dealer, the car should be here in about 8 weeks......so probably a early July delivery.

Well, our options are like this:

09 BMW E92 335i
- 6-speed manual transmission
- Alpine white
- Black dakota leather
- Gray poplar wood trim
- M-sport pkg.
- Prem. pkg.
- Navigation
- Logic7 sound
- Heated front seats
- Comfort access
- iPod & USB adapter
- Power rear sunshade

MSRP: $53,650; invoice (according to Edmunds): $49,320
We negotiated down to $50k even plus tax and license. One question...could I negotiate the lease rate (or finance rate) now? Or should I just wait till the car gets here?
