When did i ever say i was bored or unhappy with what I have? I have said countless of times how i thought the NSX and the 328i are great cars. Never have i made an excuse for not liking them. The cars itself has NOTHING to do with what im doing.

Its funny how you are assuming things when i dont give reasons for my actions. Continue to think you know all....

Im not here to justify myself and i wont. I will leave the car talks off of uh... car talk then. No biggie.

BMWs that are known to be pretty damn close to the perfect driver's car, right? -- and you're still not happy (traded 2 within the past year, right?). NSXs that many people long for and a car that you said, only a few months ago, that you'd keep forever because you were in love...nope, not good enough. IMO, people who have everything, appreciate nothing...because it's "just another...". I guess I just can't see what you're "missing" out of all the cars that you've had that they simply weren't fun enough to have for longer than 3-8 months when you've bought some pretty amazing ones over the years.

Nonetheless, enjoy this one...

I think exactly like you do. Everyday i like another car. I cant get myself to act out on it, though. Which is a good thing because i would be in some serious debt.As long as you are not screwing yourself by switchin cars everytime you do it ...who gives as fuck?
I will say this, though. Don't get rid of the NSX. You will regret it. The M3 is a great car, but is nothing like the NSX. Everytime i drive the NSX it gives me the same thrill as the first time I sat in a 911 turbo when I was a kid.
Get rid of the 328!

Ask everyday people if it makes any sense at all to switch cars so many times and so often, especially when the car is bought new every time, modded (more money thrown into it), and not a $9,000 base model Kia (sorry Wndrlst). I bet most people think it's really odd and would probably wonder why he just can't enjoy what he has for a little while before moving on - and that's aside from the financials. ...And that's prob why it's a constant joke...people think it's odd and have come to expect it.

I always thought I was crazy as well for changing every now and then.
Although I understand where SS is coming from, I encourage Jesal as well, there are way too many nice cars out there and he's trying to take a piece of them before it's too late. I mean if he can afford the hit and wants to change, so be it.

He's single with no commitments. Sure, maybe a bit indulgent, but why not? He definitley will not be able to get away with this after marriage or kids for that matter. You only live once... Get back on topic guys!

Just for conversation's sake though, did you ever think about a P-car or driven one to see if you liked it or not? A lot of 06+C2S models are right in your price range and it's tremendous value for the dollar in my opinion.

I understand where SS is coming from too. I dont share much of my personal life on the forums as much as i used to so i get where she thinks im being foolish with my actions.

But she really doesnt know the whole story or my financial background. So personally it doesnt offend me.

Besides the 335i and maybe now the 328i, i havent taken a big hit on any of the cars that i have gone through. Buying cheap ftw.

Anywho back on topic... the interior will be Bamboo leather. Almost a tan/cream color. Its a love it or hate it color.

I thought about a P-car but i really do need 4 doors as i use them almost everyday.

Loseit, get the OEM 19s and call it a day. They hawt.

I'm guessing you'd take a much smaller hit selling the NSX, or maybe even no loss at all depending where you're at in it.

The 328i, bring swim trunks cause it's bath time.

You should look into doing some track days with your car. I think you'll enjoy it even more, I did four track days last year and it was an absolute blast.

I feel left out. I is in Chicago, too

Bamboo is a cool color. I would rock a red M3 w/ that color as well.
I noticed that Jesal loves the light interiors! What was that jade one you liked before?

Jade gray but its for the 3series. None of the interior colors for the M3 do much for me. Oh well.

Here are pictures of someone doing Euro Delivery and took their car through the Alps.

Lots of pics!

Holy cow.
That's incredible.
I'd do that in a heartbeat if I ever bought a BMW.
The scenery is beautiful, and the roads look like nothing but AWESOME.

I didn't know it took 4-8 weeks to get your car back in the states once you drop it off , but it would still be well worth it IMO.

The wait time for an ED delivery is pretty much the same as just ordering the car then waiting, give or take 2 weeks. When I did it my car would have arrived second week of December '06 but since I did ED it arrived Dec 24/06, so ~2 week later. It is a tough wait though either way.

So when someone decides to do a ED, how long is the wait between when they sign the papers on the car/options/etc at a dealership here in the states, till they can go over for the ED?

I read a BMW ED story where some dude and his wife drove though Albania or some basketcase country like that in Eastern Europe. Definitely an entertaining read. I should try an dig the link up.

It depends on when the dealership can get a production date. For me (being in Canada, and right when the 335i came out so hard to get production dates), I ordered July 9th 2006. My production was October 2nd through 9th. I picked up the car on the 12th and stayed until the 27th. The car arrived in Toronto on Dec 23rd.

Not sure how it is with M3's, probably a little slower (on the production date side).

Sure? I think when i ordered my 335i it only took 8 weeks to get the car here.

For ED the wait is 3 months after ordering just to pick it up in Munich. Then after dropping it off there, it takes another month or so to get to the U.S dealer. At least that what i been told.

When I did it it didn't made any difference whether you did ED or not; the car was produced when the dealership could secure a production spot. If it was an ED car you pick it up, if not they put it on the boat. For example with my car other people who had similar production dates got their cars in early December (they were shipped third week of october, arrived in nova scotia in middle november and then got to dealers early december). Since I drove mine for two weeks it wasn't "shipped" until November 1, arrived in NS on December 11th then Toronto on the 23rd.

Maybe it's different in the US, but the impression I got was that it depends more on when the dealer can get a production date.

If you weren't doing ED but were custom ordering when could you have the M3? I know around here for ordered cars right now people are still waiting 3 months (6 week wait on production then 6 weeks to ship it).

There's a good forum at bimmerfest about ED, in case you haven't seen it. Lots of info about temp plates, driving in europe, easy way to get from the airport to the delivery center, etc).

Yea i just read that some ED salesguys can get the order in sooner than 3 months if you ask. BMWs website even says plan 3 month in advance though. Personally 3 months is good for me since i still have a lot to plan out on the trip.

No idea how long it would be if i just ordered an M3 for U.S delivery. Didnt even ask.

Oh and im all over bimmerfest already.
