It only depreciated by $4,000 from what it cost brand new ($140,000 starting). Seems like a solid deal to me.

you know whenever there are car stunts being performed in the city, whether its for a movie or just an awesome video. How much do you think it costs to run that. And how does the city going about letting a driver go crazy in the city where they can crash into a building. You think they screen each driver some way???

^ The hood looks HUGE and way too bulky... but it's definitely one of the better concepts I've seen.

VW diesels are unreliable?

As much as it would be cool to see on the streets, I doubt many people would buy them. Let Mazda save money and use it on the next-gen Miata and RX.

I'm guessing most of you guys heard about the F40 crash in Texas over the weekend. I was looking at one of the build threads by the owner at vwvortex and came across this parts list graphic that shows the cost of SPARK PLUG WIRES for the car. These are individual costs, you would need 8 of them.

I see, now I know nothing about it really other than it exists, but to me what you mention I think of the Mercedes G class.

yeah, it was a 'cult-classic' kind of appeal back in the day and the fans (such as myself) will always have a special place for it in our hearts - it was just way ahead of its time - it was one of the first true "performance" trucks. I can't even think of a truck that preceded it that was quite as outrageous. It had the 450hp V12 from the Countach. It weighed 5962 lbs and did 0-60 in 8.5 seconds, and this is in 1986. No small feat for such a behemoth vehicle.

Rolls-Royce Sponsoring 1,000-MPH Bloodhound SSC Project

By Bengt Halvorson Bengt Halvorson
0 1,018 views May 13, 2013

The mission: Build a car that can exceed 1,000 miles per hour.

Do we have your attention yet?

The jet-engine maker Rolls-Royce PLC have announced that they're supporting the Bloodhound Project, an educational program (and a real land-speed-record effort) that hopes to break that barrier.

Rolls will be supplying a version of its EJ200 engine for the project, from a Eurofighter Typhoon; that will be complemented by a Cosworth F1 engine driving the rocket-oxidizer pump and together generating 135,000 equivalent horsepower—180 times one of today's F1 cars, notes the jet-engine maker.

During the project, the Bloodhound Project will be supplying lesson plans for teachers, in the hopes that it will give context or inspiration for students studying the sciences and math-related fields—and future generations of engineers.

Ultimately, the team, headed by Richard Noble, hopes to break the current record, of 763 mph (set by Thrust SSC in 1997) by a long shot.

Testing for the Bloodhound SSC (supersonic car) effort will be manufactured by various specialist companies in the UK, and runway testing will start in early 2014, before the team decamps to Kaksken Pan, South Africa—where the car can be run on a stretch of desert that's two miles wide, 12 miles long, and perfectly flat.

That is pure sexiness. I'd love to sit right in front of a jet engine.

Obviously I would be worried the most about stability. I wonder how well it could hold 1,000 miles per hour.

Would definitely top the Thrust SSC.
I imagine they'll have something like a fighter pilot drive it. I think that's what they did with the SSC.

I can't fathom 1,000 mph on the ground

Curious as to why Nr. 4 w/ BERU type wire goes for $900+ compared to the rest.

TBH I never even knew they made an actual "SUV" variant of the LM002. I've always loved the truck version, dunno about the SUV though.

I also like the SRT8 Jeep, SRT10 Ram, SVT Lightning, etc. if that explains anything
