Isn't that the same as the Chevrolet SS coming? Minus the 576 horsepower part.

^ I love that we live in a time where 400 hp seems just adequate for a car

oh damn didn't know about the SS being the same car.
too bad we only get 415 measly hp.
you never know with GM, I mean look at the V-series Caddy's and the Camaro special editions... would be bad ass if they brought the 576hp version in the future.

We can't even get a manual in the base version of the car unlike the Aussie variant, so I can't see the HSV making its way over here.

Looks like a modern day version of a 356, but strange name - "Watersnake": http://www.netcarshow.com/pgo/2013-c...s_water_snake/

2024 Honda Civic Type R
I don't understand the styling of a chrome bar that stretches across the rear. I do not like that at all. So many new models have that, too. It doesn't look too bad on the silver 9-5 but any other color it stands out way too much.
Accord
Altima
Maxima
Corolla
Civic
Tesla Model S
Cruze
Sonata
200
Impala
Sentra
I think chrome used like this is very ugly, detracts from the look, and takes away from the car's styling lines.
I am very glad my ST doesn't have any chrome.

This 2005 Ford GT is no ordinary Ford GT. This car is an important part of the history of the Ford GT. Originally built as one of five pre-production prototypes, PB1-3 was one of two sold to Steve Saleen at Saleen specialty vehicles for vehicle development. Number three in the production run, this car was driven and tested by Saleen's cheif performance engineers to create the final version of the production car. This car was put through reliability and endurance testing, and once retired from duty, it was purchased by Steve Saleen. In addition to being the only 2005 finished in Gulf Blue, this car has the intosh premium audio option. There is extensive documentation, including the assembly agreement signed by Steve Saleen and John Coletti, SVT director at Ford Motor CO. Deviations from the standard include prototype exhaust with racing headers, a master electronic kill switch, a pre-production transmission, early radiator fan switches and more. This car is guaranteed to be infinitely collectible. The Ford GT market has been steadily appreciating, trading at prices well above original MSRP. The unique history, one of a kind color, and exclusive pedigree makes PB1-3 an excellent addition to any collection.

I would say though, if there is any car worth buying as an investment right now, it would probably be a Ford GT. I think the majority of them have all added an additional $75K at the least to their original retail price & they're not even a decade old yet.
I would also give an honorary mention to the CGT. They've dipped a little bit in recent years, but they still seem to be worth on average around $400,000; only lost about $40,000 of its value.

So C&D tested the GTI over in europe and compared it to an ST over there too. I believe the ST is for the most part the same? But the euro version has 10 extra hp and a fancier adjustable suspension. Anyway they didnt test the performance model so the GTI was putting out 217hp and 256lb-ft if i remember correctly.
They put the GTI 1st over the ST.
The most surprising thing... 0-60 for the ST was 5.7. GTI was 5.6
I know theres a lot of factors, but the GTI is down 20-30hp? ST also has a better hp/weight ratio, both were manual. It just surprised me.

I know this is going back a bit in the thread, but RPhil, I think the trunk chrome bars add a bit of drama to the rear end. Bland styling seems to be a killer in today's market.

Got both my front wheel bearings replaced, new front brake pads and fixed the warped rotos this passed weekend
Cars so much smoother now!
edit: I've pretty much had warped rotors for the past 4 years? Although it wasnt much back then.

the 12C-spider is fricking gorgeous. I kind of would not compare its look directly to the F1 though - kind of out of respect for both cars and also because I consider that car from a different era and a comparison inapplicable and/or irrelevant.

heh, I knew I'd catch flak for that comment. The F1 is still a legend in my eyes, and still in my top 3. The 12C is neither... just quite partial to the roadster look.
speaking of which, what are those things called behind the headrests? They're common on roadsters, first thought was to call them buttresses but those are different.

Seriously, how the fuck can anyone make sense of all those lights and buttons and numbers on that steering wheel? AND drive 150mph?
I'd plow into the first wall the moment a light changed color. Assuming I could actually get the car to start moving:
