Was just looking at THIS...nice to see I'm not imagining things when it comes to the prices of used Challengers and Chargers...just pisses me off they don't drop more.

The EPA is such a joke..

Realistically the CR-Z even in 6MT form like my wife's should be bumped up to 35 / 42 or better MPG. Easily the most fuel efficient coupe by many MPG's. We've averaged 37 mpg over 10,000 miles and most of it in 'Sport' mode and the A/C set to auto.

Porsche to enter LMP1 racing:

If you thought the fastest Porsche in the world was the brand’s new 918 Spyder, think again. While it may be the fastest production car in the German sports car maker’s stable, behold its 24 Hours of Le Mans entry scheduled for next year.

While no stats (and we mean none) are available on the new prototype endurance racer, Porsche has released a selection of photos as the car takes its first laps at the brand’s test track at Weissach. Driven by Porsche works driver Timo Bernhard, he commented that, “Already now the car feels great. I look forward to testing the vehicle in the coming weeks and months with my friend and colleague Romain Dumas.”

The car itself is believed to be a gasoline-electric hybrid. Hinting at that, Porsche R&D boss Wolfgang Hatz commented that, “Our aim was to achieve the best possible efficiency without compromising performance.”

That hybrid technology is expected to make its way into all future Porsche models.

“The engineers were able to start with a blank sheet of paper in the design of the new LMP1 car that was out here today on the Weissach race track for the first time,” said Matthias Müller, Chairman of the Executive Board at Porsche AG. “Hence, they were able to apply many new technologies within the framework of the regulations that will also benefit the customers of our road legal automobiles in the future. After all, there’s a race car in every Porsche.”

Fritz Enzinger, head of Porsche’s LMP1 program commented that, “We are well on schedule. Our newly formed team has worked with utmost concentration on getting this highly complex vehicle on the track as soon as possible. This allows us a few additional weeks for more testing and further development. From 2014, the regulations are primarily based on efficiency. This makes the competition amongst engineers more interesting and presents us with completely new challenges.”

Porsche will compete with the LMP1 prototype in the 2014 World Endurance Championship (WEC) and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year 2014.

That's pretty awesome. If I didn't need 4 doors, I'd give them a more serious look.

Yeah, Honda needs to offer a 'sport' trim for the Insight. Give it the 1.5 engine and tuning from the CR-Z. Optional stick..

It is anecdotal evidence, but my friend has a 2013 6MT and he has never gotten over 38 mpg. Even that was with him going 60 on the freeway, and driving like a granny in Econ mode. He averages 34 mpg, being in Econ mode and using A/C only when its really hot out.

Fuelly says he's in the minority..

http://www.fuelly.com/car/honda/cr-z

People are AVERAGING high 30's. Same with the CR-Z forum. He's doing something wrong or needs to get it checked.

If anything, his '13 is even better on the highway than mine.

Should be an interesting Le Mans next year as long as Audi, Toyota, & Lola stick with P1.

The GT2 class this year is all manufacturer-backed teams (except for 1 458), so that should be a great race as well.

That Toyota Rebellion car is quick. It nearly dominated Laguna Seca if it weren't for driver error.

And it sounds awesome. It easily pulled away on all restarts.

I'm interested in the ALMS/Grand Am merger and what it will do to the car classes.

I need to get into LeMans. It just seems so... intimidating!! So many cars, so many drivers! How do you even pick someone to root for!

I wish porsche came into F1!

I might be alone on this, but I think MB jumped the shark with the light-up star on the grille.

Would be great, but I think those days have been long gone. The last Porsche "F1" cars were before the time when Formula 1 cars started to take on their iconic, open-wheel style.

Could always go back to building engines though. Only been 20 years since the last one.

It's a bit late but I am really surprised the Focus ST is that much slower than a Cayman.
