I think to this day, it remains the only road car that is "paddle" operated, but still has a clutch.

I thought so too but then I remembered the column shifting manual transmissions from the old days and thought this is probably as disjointing as the Mercedes with paddle shifters.

I didn't watch the video, but isnt that how modern race cars are?? I know F1 is like that at least. They will have a clutch to get the car going, then from there its all paddle shifters. Right? My guess, I dunno

The 0 miles thing is being a bit blown out of proportion as McLaren technicians did put somewhere over 100 initially before delivery & that car has seen service over the years, which means more technician-driven miles.

Asking price is estimated to be close to $10,000,000.

That's how they were back then as well, hence why the CLK GTR road car has such a transmission.

As much as I love my TL I don't like how I have so many miles, I get reluctant on going on random drives.

I want a new car already!! FRS or BRZ I really dont care at this point lol

Considering buying a Civic as a commuter car..I drive too much right now to have a fun car.

The Speed is killing me on gas as I drive 500 miles a week sometimes and I average about 25mpgs right now.

I test drove a 2013 Civic EX and really liked the redesign, but I found a basically new 2012 EX with 11k miles for 17k over in the Bay Area.

Thoughts?

The only thing holding me back is the lack of horsepower. The Speeds makes almost double the horsepower of the Civic. It's either buy the Civic, or wait for my local dealer to find me a 08-09 Accord V6 Coupe. I think the V6 still averages 30+ mpg

are you keeping your speed3??

Then buying a civic will not save you any money at all on gas. To recoup the price of the car with the gas you're saving is not worth it. Unless you get rid of your speed3, which I hope you dont do

No

You wont find me dead in a hybrid

The Speed is making three different noises from the front end, I was just over the warranty when the timing chain started to rattle on the initial cold start, and the thermostat is acting up( engine is running too cold)

Plus we can't take my car anywhere. The ride is so rough that my fiancée gets carsick almost instantly.

Unless it absolutely made sense. If we lived where it was stop and go all the time. But my driving is 80% highway.

I thought about going the TDI route, but I'm not too sure.

I would really go drive one. They will be a bit more than a Civic but a Golf TDI will be a nice car with the DSG to commute in.

Yea, I driven several GTIs, so I'm sure overall, the Golf feels the same. The only thing that worries me about that type of car is the upkeep and what might go wrong with it.

TDI or V6 IMO. You'll get bored of a slow car, it won't be that much better on the highway, and the '12 Civic just sucks.

I put 55k miles on my 2009 Jetta Sportwagen and did nothing but brakes and oil changes.

If it had been a TDI Wagon, I would never have sold it.

there is so much false information out there these days that I can't even tell whether this is legit so I'll post it here.

2014 Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario
Travis Okulski Today 3:53pm 4,399 54

Lamborghini Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario: This Is It

Lamborghini is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. You know what that means? It's time for special edition cars up the wazoo to cash in. Here's the first one: The Aventador LP720-4 50 Anniversario. As you may have guessed, the LP720-4 has 720 horsepower from its 6.5 liter V12. That's 20 up on the stock Aventador, although I tend to think 50 more would make sense. It's not their 20th anniversary.

On the outside, the cars have paint called Giallo Maggio. Maggio is May in Italian, and May is the month that Lambo was founded. Giallo is yellow, and yellow is a color.

There is a ton of carbon fiber aero bits, and they increase aero downforce by 50 percent. The perfect number. Inside, the car is also yellow, because why not? The special edition Aventador will be unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show this weekend.

The civic was rated at 39mpg highway, which is appealing to me since I drive so much. But it's still slow. It felt fine on the road, but getting it up to speed was a pain.

I'd be fine with a slow car to hold me over in all honesty...I just need a comfortable commuter to hold me over. Plus there might be a new job/career outlook, so the slow, boring car would be temporary if it works out

How do you think a newer Jetta would hold up? The redesign.

Any known issues with the TDI?

Sucks you won't be allowed in my 918

Also, I would look into TDI. Go on the forums and check them out, see the problems people are having. Otherwise instead of civic. Why not go the Mazda3 route with the skyactiv engine? I'm sure it drives a lot better and gets good MPG?

man. the sidecladding and aero sh*t on that LP720 is

did Lambo hire some new person or team to do this? I mean, I've never been disappointed like this before with any of their past special models. It only started with the Venevo.

actually I take that back. for me the started with the redesign of the Gallardo, with how they put those slants into the design. It looks like it's the same design team or person who came up with the Venevo and LP720.

this looks so incohesive its not even funny - its an embarrassment

Guy finishing up my clear bra on the ST has a Ferrari FF there he's working on.

$300k of what is quite frankly some intimidating awesomeness. I'll take a picture if it's still there when I pick the car up (I had left my phone in the car).

It's not a small car. And the hood is so long his 60" x 60" sheets aren't big enough to do the whole hood. But it's amazing.

Yeah it's not small by any definition. Driving it would take some getting used to for sure.

Same guy had a 911 Carrera S Convertible in there two weeks ago. That was a beautiful car. And a good size too.
