I dunno if I'd pay that much for a Huayayrarayara but it's a hell of a car.

New Acura Legend Owner

Sokay, i've ran the vin decoder and looked at the papers i have gotten with the car. all i can truly tell is that it is a L series 1994 acura legend.

guy had said also that he had replaced the motor previously and how do i go about determining if that is true? he said he'd gotten a tl motor up at 5 brothers motors up in seattle and had it put in at 140 something k miles.. if they're all the same motor how do i tell?

BUT which one?? i see rl, tl, and others. how does one go about actually identifying exactly what their car is anyhow????

Many peoiple easily get discouraged when attempting to determine the sex of a dinosaur. If you look at most drawings of dinosaurs, you cannot distinguish any specific genitalia. When it comes to distinguishing between male and female dinosaurs, paleontologists can consult one distinctive feature: the size of the skeleton's hips. The females of large dinosaur species like Tyrannosaurus Rex laid relatively large eggs, so their hips were configured in a way to allow for easy passage. Oddly, T. Rex appears to have been sexually dimorphic in another way: many paleontologists now think that the females of this species were significantly larger than the males. What this implies, in evolutionary terms, is that females competed for the right to mate with available males, and may have done most of the hunting as well. This contrasts with modern mammals like the walrus, in which the (much bigger) males compete for the right to mate with smaller females. Tyrannosaurus Rex seems to be one of the few dinosaur species whose females asked (figuratively, of course), "Do my hips look big?" Lacking extensive fossil evidence about relative hip size, scientists have no choice but to rely on secondary sexual characteristics--which, as mentioned above, don't tend to be preserved well in the fossil record. Protoceratops is a good case study in the difficulty of inferring sexual dimorphism in long-extinct dinosaurs. Some paleontologists believe that the males of this ceratopsian had larger, more elaborate frills on the backs of their heads, which were used as mating displays (fortunately, there's no shortage of Protoceratops fossils, meaning there are a large number of individuals to compare). Lacking more evidence, though, other scientists are unconvinced. Lately, much of the action in dinosaur gender studies has centered on hadrosaurs, the duck-billed dinosaurs, many of which (like Parasaurolophus and Lambeosaurus) were characterized by their large, ornate head crests. As a general rule, male hadrosaurs seemed to have differed in size and appearance from female hadrosaurs, though of course the extent to which this is true (if it's true at all) varies on a genus-by-genus basis. As stated above, one major problem with establishing sexual dimorphism in dinosaurs is the lack of a representative population. Ornithologists can easily collect evidence about hundreds of males and females of a single bird species, but a paleontologist is lucky if his dinosaur of choice is represented by more than a handful of fossils.

2012 Guiness World Record 283.232 mph!

West Palm Beach, FL – October 16th 2012 –Performance Power Racing Re-Sets the Guinness World Records holding for Fastest Standing Mile-Street Car at 283.232 mph

Johnny Bohmer Owner of Performance Power Racing and Driver of the World Famous BADD GT, along with Matt Lundy, Lead Design Tech, piloted the 1700+ horse power Ford GT down NASA’s Shuttle Landing Facility Runway this week setting a new Guinness World Record at 283.232 mph in the Standing Mile. The Standing Mile is an event in which a vehicle, from a dead stop, accelerates completely through the one mile mark.

“Automotive Racing is the perfect channel to introduce some of the new technologies we are working on in to the main stream market. The Pandalloy™ Aluminum Alloys Project through Performance Power Materials, Inc is very exciting. The multiple series of Aluminums are vastly outperforming what is on the market today and we are excited to see how far we can push the limits of performance, and more importantly efficiency to have a positive impact worldwide. We break records to prove that these systems and designs really do function and can be implemented on vehicles of all types.” said Johnny Bohmer.

Performance Power Racing is a West Palm Beach based Research and Development Company working directly with Pratt & Whitney on a new high specific strength, high temperature tolerant, Aluminum Alloy branded Pandalloy™. Performance Power has successfully transitioned and implemented Aerospace Technology in to the Automotive World. Parts were specifically designed and manufactured out of Pandalloy™ Aluminum Alloys for the World Record Setting Ford GT. Performance Power successfully proved that Aerospace Technology can be effectively used to lower emissions, increase fuel economy, and lower a vehicles carbon footprint through their performance testing at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Shuttle Landing Facility.

“Our entire team has worked very hard to get here and we are proud to be able to put an American car in the record books as the fastest street car in the world.” Mr. Bohmer said about the achievement. “By NASA allowing us access to a one of a kind facility, we are given the opportunity to explore these technologies and share their benefits. An immense amount of research and development went in to this 3 year project and we are just scratching the surface of where these systems can be utilized outside of the racing arena.”

Dat ASS.

On a semi-side note, I think it's amazing how fresh the GT still looks, considering the last one was sold around 2005ish.

I've always liked these. I don't care if hideaways are old-fashioned, I love them.

doesn't even need to be a 850CSi, just needs to be a V12 and the shifter to look like this:

That might actually be the stock exhaust...big pipes out back, and yes they got rid of the center design in the current gen to allow for towing.

Not enough ground clearance. Or, is it too much ground clearance?
