Type-R is growing on me a lot. I've seen quite a few of them in person now.
I love hatchbacks, but the hatch was my least favorite bodystyle for the Civic. Now I don't mind it too much.
The interior still needs more work. Less red, fewer blank buttons, and a backseat that matches the front's fabric in addition to having a fifth seat would resolve all my grievances.
IIRC, the CTR outruns the Focus RS on the track. AWD isn't enough to overcome a 300 lb handicap

That car is a rolling caricature. Fuuuuuugly.
I hated it when I first saw it. I hated the Civic's looks in general initially.
It is gaudy and obscene. But so was the Integra Type-R when it was new, with it's shopping cart wing and bright yellow paint job. By today's standards, it looks tame.
Perhaps I respect it so much for what it stands for. I still wouldn't buy one... yet. But on paper it's an ideal car for me. Great powertrain, shifter, performance and fuel economy.

and both times sealant or inflator didn’t work
should have learned my lesson the first time
but us Californians aren’t so bright
after the second time ordered the full oem spare kit that use to come standard on the 2011 wagons
I have had run flats on a few cars. Heck my 02 Cooper s almost 15 years ago had them. As much as I hate the hardness of those tires if my wagon had runflats it wouldn’t have stranded me

I could do with less red in the interior, mainly the seats and the steering wheel. The vents could be not-fake too. But it performs better than its competitors and it seems very liveable on the street.
Given 2012's scenario, I think I'd just buy the piece of mind, newness for $10k extra over 7 years. It's like $120 a month more and it sounds like his sister has the means since she doesn't pay the cell phone bill
Honda dealers that sold it without a markup will get more CTRs in the next shipment of them supposedly.

hate the mismatch
testerday saw a red 428/430 convertible with full red interior
gorgeous
can never have enough red
Look at post #5. He congratulates other makers, but don't mention Acura. Denial....
I drove the 5 door Versa as rental recently .... i have pretty high tolerance for shitty cars... but that shit was so bad that i was trying to break the gas pedal on purpose.... that fucking CVT i swear....
I would never, ever buy one. Certainly not at $22K or whatever Nissan is deluded enough to think it's worth.
Ha ha ha!
I just spent last week in a Versa SV. Again.
First time was a year ago in LA and I swore never again because I literally felt like I was going to die trying to get on the highway. But you know, our travel people hate me so I ended up in one again.
Worst. Car. Ever.
But, I needed to put a full tank of gas in it and it only took like $24. I guess that's what comes from two horse power and a rubber band tranny.

It's been reliable for her, and she's far from caring about performance.
Ha ha ha!

Justn has a GF.
Regardless, yes. I am become death(trap), the destroyer of travel.
I dont think it is the power that made it so bad... i had the 1st gen XB... with 103hp.... never once it made me wanna just smash the shit out of it while driving... But It felt like that every time the car moved in the Note (5 door).
agreed
i I drove a mazda 2 hatch for a week in Texas. It was fun in it down low powered way
reminded me of my Subaru Justy I used to have back in the day, or the Daihatsu Charade my cousin had.
Versa demogepahic is usually inner city
bad credit
$400 a month payment for it
because they have no other way
sad really
you should see the local Nissan dealers and if you look at their books
versa/Altima/Sentra/rogue are full of people with 520 credit score and 12% -18%interest rate
sad they take take advantage of these people
but lots of time these people put themselves in this situation
I was disappointed to see that's what they gave us, but driving it was a pleasant surprise. Mostly highway usage. I thought it was decent for an entry-level CUV, but perhaps the bar was set very low from the beginning.
