Went to get the July 12th super moon rising over Manhattan. Little did I, or any of the other photographers there, realize the mother nature had another thought as to exactly where the moon would appear.

The FAR south end of Manhattan.

The FAR south end of Manhattan.
I went to the National Mall to see it rise. The angle seemed to be further south than I was expecting, so rather than by the right side of the Capitol it rose above the National Museum of the American Indian...

I think everyone there was like

I took one more of the moon from there because I found the color to be very cool. After this shot I went to another location not far from where I was.

Nice pics, but yea that's why I have the photographer's ephemeris.

Tells you the exact time and angle the moon & sun will rise & set.

here's my shot of the "super moon".... I didn't have a tripod, so it was handheld... I guess it could have been sharper. It got Flickr Explore'd tho

Shooting Concerts etc can be tough depending on your spot in the pit etc..Usually shooting strait on does not work due to the mic stand always being a distraction and eating microphones..Capturing the pic from the side can usually give a better tight shot of artist with distance from mic to mouth.. Like I said before it is still a great pic..

Oh, you're an expert now, okay lol... Well, I guess you didn't get the part where I said "I sneaked in..." meaning I was there as a concert goer, I didn't "get" to be in "the pit" with a dSLR, this was with my a6000 + kit lens. I got there early AS A FAN, got my place front and centered and claimed my spot for the entire show. There was no choice of different angles because once I got the center spot, I wasn't losing it. but thanks for your expertise advice

Went to Riverbend Park in Jupiter, FL about two weeks ago. Got rained on but wasn't going to let that stop me from taking a cool pic.

IMG_8472.jpg by Austin Whisnant, on Flickr

Got the shutter speed just right and got a pretty neat exposure.

Trolling huh? You shouldn't talk about your self like that.. Likes? I've never liked any of your snapshots you have posted here.. I'm not bitter like that to give someone's pic a compliment if it is a good shot.. Does not matter to me if those people don't like me or not.. It is what it is.. It's called Maturity, which is something you lack....
