thanks guys! the shot was taken with an 8mm fisheye at 25 seconds..f/3.5..iso was either 5000 or 6400..i took a flashlight and sorta made a sweep with it from left to right...i'm still trying to learn how to process the MW to make it "pop" more...

This is from last night out in the middle of no where. This isn't really a finished product..but ehh. I've never done a pano in PS before and having a super hard time actually stitching all the pics together.

Finally got my 11 shot pano done. Think I even got some of the aurora to judging by some of the green tones . Red lights in the bottom left are the wind turbines in the distance.

This couple was sitting next to us at a NYC noodle bar... I was about 4' from them, but they were lost in each other so they were oblivious. I like how it came out, but I wish I had more on the right side of the image... unfortunately I didn't have room to maneuver without being noticed!

Speechless por ep_jhu, en Flickr

Noisy as shit, but it's 6400... LR apparently has more trouble removing noise from the X100S than it has with the 7D.

Figured I would share a lightning strike I caught last night after a small but intense cell moved over us. I was using a Panasonic DMC-TZ5 p&s in burst mode. I don't consider my self even an amateur photographer, but someday I would like to venture into photographing space using my 8" Orion 'scope. Anyway, here are the shots in chronological order.

I see that Google's PicasaWeb sucks as far as picture quality.

Great shot Matt. I tend to like single exposure star trail shots better than stacked images.

Ya I totally agree with you, there's something about the stacked trail shots that just don't look right to me almost kind of unnatural and over processed.. I dunno...

As far as little things to do that might make this a little better.

1. Have your subject move her hair from her face. Even if she used her hand...it might lend itself to yet another pose.

2. Perhaps use an off camera flash to fill the shadows on the the, camera right, side of her face. A reflector of some sort might have been able to do the job with the available sunlight too.

3. Possibly move closer to your subject? But that is a matter of taste and your personal vision for the shot.

those are my please understand I'm not trying to act like an expert or be a dick.
