thanks, I agree that it looks great in that picture. Just not something I would want in every picture. I shot that @F/8 iso 200. Thats the first shot Ive processed with the 5D, and I am quite pleased with the picture quality....aside from some dust on the sensor which is now the least of my problems

That island is an Atlantic Puffin sanctuary. The little blue boxes you can see on the shore line are blinds. I had to frantically swap out the 70-200 on the back of a rolling and accelerating ship to get that shot off. Lucky I didnt drop something.

I love that second one! Only suggestion I can make is trying to not cut the top of their head off like in the last picture. Easier said than done with kids though.

The two shoots Ive done with a kid, I probably took about 200 shots, and got a small handful of keepers

Thanks!! It was so hard to get that shot, he kept on jumping off the couch. lol

Yeah I was a little disappointed when I found out her head was cut off a bit, but I love the expression on her face to I decided to edited and post it. I now understand why people say its tough taking photos of little children. Even with 7D I had trouble focusing on them. lol

I'm nowhere near as good as our own Srika, but I managed to get this at just right time with the lighting at a club we went to tonight.

This was an attempt at an idea I had in my head. It didnt quite translate the way I envisioned it so I will be trying again. The idea is that alcohol has a grip on you and the vines growing from the bottles and wrapping around symbolizes that grip...

Thanks for the encouragement. This vine covers my fence every year and grows across my driveway. My wife and friends couldn't figure out why I wouldn't trim it back this year I have been working on the idea all summer. It has to work!

did you try going ISO6400? I'm sure it would've been fine (maybe clean them up in LR), thus allowing a faster shutter speed

i could have but i didn't want the noise to be so bad i couldn't post process it. Even @3200 you can see the noise pretty bad. good thing you can reduce it in Lightroom.

Nice! I feel like the composition is a little off though... Too much nothingness along the top.
