Yes, but it would reflect the bluish purple from the clouds a bit.

But here's one using the color replacement brush to take out the tint. Thanks for the feedback!

well yes you would have to reduce it on the entire image. call it personal preference but I really love that image after the dress has become white.

were there reflectors used or some kind of lighting involved? Shutter speed was @ 1/1250, so I'm thinking there's no way you can sync it that fast to strobes or flashgun

There was a reflector used, but it kept blowing around so I'm not sure how much it actually worked. I did most of it in post between LR and PS.

You can use a flash in High Speed Sync if your camera and flash support it.

I took a few images with a russian made 1978 Zenit-e and scanned them. Forgive me for the terrible quality - my scanner is awful.

In any case it has been fun and it gave me a real appreciation for the effort that went into taking a photo 35 years ago. There is some shutter lag on it that shows sometimes the curtain doesn't quite make it out of the way. Here are a few.

mom asked me to bring my camera to my cousins baby shower last weekend. Sure, I have no idea what Im doing when it comes to shooting people, why not? came out like had to post up a few at least because they were expected by mom.

This was the only one that I thought might have been any good while shooting, only to find out later that I missed her looking at me in the first one because her face blurred, and under exposed it pushed the contrast a little to make the bag pop

Lots of great photos! I really enjoy this thread.

The wife, dog, and I went on a little road trip today. What does this mean? Photo opp, of course.

Here are some of my favorites...

Del Puerto Canyon Road by thunder04, on Flickr

Del Puerto Moo by thunder04, on Flickr

Del Puerto Shack by thunder04, on Flickr

One of many vistas by thunder04, on Flickr

Star Dog by thunder04, on Flickr

Vibrant Red by thunder04, on Flickr

Laying Dog by thunder04, on Flickr

Mines Road Cinnamon Flower by thunder04, on Flickr

"Del Puerto Moo" isn't the best shot, but I like it because every cow was staring at us. They just stared the entire time we were there. Star really wanted to play with them...she didn't quite understand that it was a bad idea, so she stayed in the car.

"Vibrant Red" was taken by my wife. I wish I gave her the zoom lens so that there was more flower and less "everything else", but the flower is pretty cool nonetheless.

Yea I was looking at the fotodiox brand. But wasn't sure if there was a difference in quality with the adapters.

I haven't tried or seen them all but I would guess they are all similar and serve their purpose. Make sure to check reviews as well, they are pretty useful at Amazon for instance.

I have been assisting a friend who is shooting weddings. It is a truly humbling experience to be on the hook to produce instead of just snapping shots on my own. I am way out of my comfort zone but at least I am getting shooting. I did second shooter at a wedding this weekend past and figured I would share a few of my shots. I need serious practice if I am going to get better... I know some of these are heavy on the processing but it is what this particular client likes and honestly was necessary for some of my weak shots.

They came out great, which lens were you using that day?

The last photo I would of used a higher aperture because the back got blurred out.

Jeff, don't dog yourself out, you're doing pretty good and better than some that I've seen that "make" a living doing this.

You know where you're missing, so work on that.
